Do you know if any of the practices at Stanford today might be open? I know they have a morning and an afternoon one scheduled it seems before they head to Miami. I've got a ball leftover from when I thought I won a Meet & Greet with them yesterday that I wouldn't still mind getting signed.
I haven't got a clue honestly & I'm not at work today so I'm unable to run over there to ask. Their morning sessions have been at 10am so by now it might be too late to check on them but their evening ones have either been at 5pm or 6pm so if you want to go investigate around those times... even when the sessions have been closed some of the players have usually come out to meet the fans afterwards.
Might depend on what time their flight is at though if they're flying out tonight, so things might be different (i.e. their second session might be earlier in the day than usual, or they might be going straight to the airport afterwards rather than meeting with fans). If you can though I would try just in case.

I'm with Vinman on this one. If there's just one thing you absolutely cannot do anywhere else in the world while you're at an overseas location in training, it is reaching out to the local fans in an effort to build your overseas relationships. FAIL.
I just read that they aren't leaving for Miami until the morning, so it's possible they might stop for fans after training. Unfortunately I have a feeling that they wouldn't make their final training session open though.
Yep, this is in overall rather embarrassing move, you punish the team, you dont punish the fans for the pre-season ineptitude, I mean the club went across the atlantic to sell themselves to their overseas fans in a PR tour, and this is basically failing very much at doing that.

Yeah, I could understand confining the team to their hotel rooms (as in, not allowed to go out & have fun in their free time) but how was canceling that meet & greet a punishment for the players whatsoever? How was it a punishment for anyone BUT the fans?
Between this & the Messi charity match fiasco (and in that case, it was even worse because fans had PAID for it), football PR in the US this summer hasn't been very good.
