dude.. you left the whole post and highlighted this statement.. If you read the post carefully, I was stating from a psychological and emotional point of view. We were successful before Del Piero, we were successful with Del Piero, and hopefully we will be successful after Del Piero.

People always like to blame Del Piero for Juventus's bad performance is certain matches, thats ok if Vice versa is the case. Unfortunately, its not. When Juventus plays well, even if Alex plays well people will say that it was and odd match or they will also say he did not perform.

In my opinion, I think Del Piero should stay, not just because of what I stated before, because he is one of our best forwards.

i did that just because i saw that part and i didnt bother with the rest of the post

Juventus was succesful before Del Piero, and we shall continue to be succesful without him
You see Del Piero's importance ,when you divides the Juve era to "before Del Piero" and "after Del Piero".
That's good,we are making some progress here.

As I said before its just an expression, and there is a differance between them, it has nothing to do with numbers. Well if you compare it with numbers it would be more like 15-5 and 5-15. Differant.

Remeber words are'nt like numbers, you change the order of one word and the whole meaning changes. Look at the statement again and you will find the differance.

The I advise that you read it and see what I meant by Del Piero is Juventus.. I didn't mean that Juventus is nothing without Del Piero becaue Juvetus are the ones who created Del Piero.

Well for me I don't think that he let the team down.. Thats the difference.
When he gets injured, you don't expect that he comes back firing from day one.

Hey man, I am not defending Del Piero but you gotta give some thought to those who say
Del Piero is Juve is not the same as Juve is Del Piero, its math but not basic "=" math, more associative math (sorry I forgot the chapter name)....
-------------------------------------
.............................................
......Juventus.........................
.........................(Del Piero)....
--------------------------------------

Del Piero is Juve in a sense that DP is within Juve n cannot be found/associated outside of Juve, while Juve is not Del Piero coz there is more to Juve than Juz Del Piero.

There can be a valid perception IMO of this statement.

I guess its like saying America is Democracy but Democracy isnt America. Meaning that yes America is very Democratic but it doesnt mean that Democracy itself is America, democracy itself is more than America.

Any how thats my opinion.

Nonetheless I still am amazed if somebody said DP outplayed Totti for the last 5 years. Statistics arent always relevant, statistically we are among the best offense in Serie A but we can all see by the way we play that our offense is lacking.

DP is not equal to JUve as no player is bigger than a club...same as :
Raul=/ Real
Beckham=/ MU
Torres=/ A.Madrid
Joaqiun=/ Betis
Nesta=/Lazio
Totti=/ A.S Roma
so on....
But some fans start supporting these clubs becoz of these icons...these r the achor man/star player/mega star of these clubs...i think that's a bonus...!
i am sure a lot of fans like MU coz of Beckham...after Beckham left, some of them will still support MU but some may follow him and turn to Real instead..well, who r we to critisize them?? Football is meant to be fun...everyone can have an idol/fav player..this is a free world..
well, i am very sure DP eaisly surpassed the rest of his team mates in terms of popularity in Japan n HK..this is a fact, u can';t deny it..but i think it's an upper hand for a club to have an achor man to sort of :"promote" the club..i can;t think of a major club without a mega/super star player nowadays, can u??

Totti is better than DP in past 4 seasons..the amount of goals, assists, stability, significance to the team...except the 02/03 season which i think DP did really well..
but totti cannot achieve what DP has(won CL, more seria A titleS) if he continues to stay in Roma! haha..
some of u say that Totti might win the golden ball if he plays for other major clubs..well, yes, but he has to change his temper first...learn from Nedved and Sheva!! hahaha...
For me, i respect Totti, he is the most gifted italian player since R.Baggio, mentally tougher than DP...but what he did in Euro2004 really upset me..as an Azzurri fans. i think he got a lot to do for the NT to compensate what he has done!
and i seriously think Lippi needs to call up Totti and DP again coz this team just can;t create!!!!
