dont trivialize valid questions with exaggerations and over the top comparisons i may watch a game from the moon and i can still call an offside that the ref in the stadium cant see. I have watched over 90% of the games this guy played since he first started, i believe you were 2 or 3 then, i defended him when they called him a choker said his career was done on 2000 i will also still defend him when unreasonable charges are levied against him. however theres enough evidence to at least ask the questions without being labeled a "DP hater" I have no motives to diss him as you said it yuourself one cant be a juve fan and dislike Alex.

I was watching football when Del Piero started out his career, so there is no need for the overly patronizing tone here. Its cheap and it doesn't help you get your point across.

I haven't called you a DP hater, nor have i said that you were prejudiced against him, i thought we already established that. I tried to make an argument, instead of just calling you biased since i saw that a lot of the people here that where on the opposing side of the argument, weren't really making arguments, the argument i was making, is that you guys are making assumptions, ones that in my view are baseless, or at least have a weak basis. You might have no motive to diss him, in fact i don't think you have any motive to diss him, that does not make your assumptions any less baseless. Unlike you, i will not resort to personally attacking you to get my point across.

Like i said, the man deserves the benefit of the doubt, i wouldn't have a problem if the accusations you were making, were ones you didn't strongly believe in. If they were doubts, i'd accept them more, but the way you worded your posts, they were more like accusations

Fred, Not only giving him the benefit of the doubt and trusting him more than those who don't mean to this club as much as Ale does but also taking into consideration than when you a make a claim you are the one who must prove that instead of just spreading non-substantial assumptions.

They are basically saying: Del Piero influences the board's decision, now come and prove us wrong.

This is not true. If he is the guy you are trying to make him out to be, you simply must hate him.
i really dont, he's human(for me at least lol) only natural to put yourself first. I try to see things objectively and if you ever paid attention to what i say you d never read me asking him to do something personally to fix the situation i believe juve as an oganization needs to move on we needed to move on last year actually. And the longer this takes the longer it will take for us to recover. Emblematic figure who will always be remembered fondly for many many good things he did for us, one of which was being a class act on the pitch(one of the reasons i lost so much respect for him after the ranieri episode). We need a strong figure to either assuage his influence or simply have the balls to cut him loose.

and if you don't agree, there is no point in convincing you, because you're just a DP fanboy(girl) :agree:

it was not patronizing for the argument is you suggesting you d know or like DP more than someone whos seen him play since his first game, and that where you missed it and theres no personal attack there, its a fact. And i know what i saw.

So do I. There is no disagreement there and I have stated that many times. Him being a human can't justify betraying the fans by influencing the board's decisions though. I'm sure you know what I mean and I'm sure you can't help disliking the guy in case you really do believe that he had an influence on the decisions our boards have been making since God knows how many years. You must either dislike him (which is fine, it's not like I'm accusing of something bad after all :D) or you yourself don't believe in what you think of him.

And I asked you to tell me what he did on the pitch which caused you lost the respect for him? He was doing his best on the pitch as far as I remember and it is actually the first time I see someone mentioning that.

and if you don't agree, there is no point in convincing you, because you're just a DP fanboy(girl) :agree:
And it's coming from the guy who thinks that Del Piero has been influencing the board's decisions since 1995 when we sold Baggio :howler:

Where did i suggest such a thing. Do you think that i think that i like Del Piero as much as you or Alen do? Of course not, why would i suggest such a thing, Del Piero isn't even one of my favorite players, i'm pretty sure he's one of yours as a Juventus fan.

I never questioned your objectivity, in fact i thought it was pretty clear that we established that you can't really support Juve and hate Del Piero. That doesn't mean your assumptions are any less baseless, nor does the fact that you've watched most of Del Piero's games.

Point is, i still have not seen a convincing enough argument that he's been the reason behind Ranieri getting sacked. I still think its a far fetched claim to make. You know the club better than i do of course, being a fan and all, but i take comfort in seeing that a lot of people actually agree with me, Juve fans like you.

and saying i was 2 or 3 when DP started out when you obviously know that isn't true is personal, because it was so blatantly obvious that it was meant to belittle and discredit my argument. Very very disappointing from you, as i've always respected you a lot.

Hey, I'm gonna hvae to stick up for my man Deneb here. He certainly does not hate Del Piero.

Although I don't think that he needs me defending him on the forum.

No one says he hates but his conclusions are pretty funny conclusions if you ask me. The Ranieri conclusion part was hilarious. But I've been reading weird stuff lately here so that doesn't really make any difference.

Of course he doesn't, i think it would be silly to even think that he's not a big Del Piero fan.

Can we not argue without looking at a persons supposed prejudices(or lack thereof)? Can we not argue what Deneb is claiming without needing to ask whether he's biased for or against Del Piero?

Of course you can.

You start hating on DP though, and you're going to be the first in line for my special brand of punishment, per my signature
