I'm just wonderin whether Ferrara is willing to let go of the goal-machine that is 4-2-3-1 to try out the formation that we all considered as a failure without DP, just because Ale is back. Instantly meaning he'd have to bench Gio and/or Camo, who both have been doing really well in the 'new' formation, or atleast playing Camo further back.
I know it would make most sense when you want to start with God, we all see it, but we aren't under the pressure Ciro is under. For some reason I'd like to see 4-2-3-1 with Del Piero being either on the left or right of Diego. He could basically fill in a 'supporting striker' role from a bit further back. He doesn't have the pace of Gio but he used to fall back a bit more anyway, in our old system, before Diego. He had to do everything, why couldn't he do it next to Diego, with less play-making duties in midfield?
Having said that.. it would probably look too much of a 4-2-2-2 that way?
Decisions decisions..
