I just watched his goal against B. Durtmund in the CL final. I remeber watching this match live with family. Damn, we had an amzing team back in 90's and missed those battles with Ajax, And Man utd.

The fact that these stalwarts are enjoying themselves on the bench just goes to show what kind of atmosphere Ciro is building in the dressing room. I'm sure the very same situation under Fabio Capello or Claudio Ranieri would paint a very different picture. Trezeguet needs one friggin goal so he can also start enjoying Camo's jokes.

It's unclear if you ask me. Lippi's choices so far looking weird to me.
I think he'll make it, if he doesn't then good luck with the likes of Di Natale and Gila.
Yea, I dont get how Gila can be in the squad ahead of the likes of Del Piero.
Del Piero, Rossi, Iaquinta, Amauri and Di Natale are the 5 who should be going to the South Africa.

from official site..

August 30th 2009, Roma v Juventus 1-3

Another three points gained in Rome have been added to our account. We are glad to have shown great personality and enthusiasm in this match against Roma.

We have to maintain this way of thinking and playing in order to reach our targets and to content our fans.

I " watched " the game, being on the bench, but I hope to play the next one against Lazio (again in Rome).

See you soon,

Alessandro

how come? if Don used Del Piero at 2007/08 season or Lippi used him at 2008/09 season, than probably it would affect Alex performance in the club, while Gila is way younger and can handle both club and international games. also there are way more worse strikers than Gila or Pazzini in the qualification group and if you can make it to the tournament with younger strikers who gain expierience in NT such way, than there's no reason why to torture Del Piero and Totti, who probably would do better. if DP will be at good form and have had a great season, there's no way Lippi will go to South Africa without him, Alex will have no problems to adapt to squad.

give me just one, which Lippi might use and i'll give you a better one with di Natale. and the formation will probably be 4-3-something since Azzurri is short of wingers just like Juve.
Buffon

Grosso - Cannavaro - Chiellini - Zambrotta

Camoranesi - De Rossi - Pirlo

Rossi

Iaquinta - Del Piero

I can give you like 6 other formations

I don't see why he couldn't be in the squad, providing he plays regularly for Juve. The other strikers aren't great.. Amauri should be inthere too.

Even Marchionni is in the Italy squad isn't he? :sergio:

( For those who hate that 'smiley', I'm sorry, but could you find any better position to use that? )
