I thought adelove's post was pretty good. I don't agree with all of his points (or even most of them) but discussion and various point of views should always be welcomed. Amidst all the worshipping that goes on here why the need to bash a guy who was very civil and just brought his own view into the discussion?

I apologize I did not meant to offend your father nor offend you. I was merely laughing at the phrase itself.

Del Piero urges Juve lesson Saturday 8 August, 2009

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Alessandro Del Piero warns Juventus must “learn from the mistakes against Villarreal,” as putting it down to a bad day would be disastrous.

The Bianconeri suffered their first real defeat of pre-season last night, thrashed 4-1 in Salerno's Stadio Arechi.

“It was a good old thumping,” smiled the captain. “We have to reflect and learn from our errors, as in these circumstances a defeat can be healthy.

“We made many mistakes in every area and faced an excellent side. However, we must not catalogue this as just a bad day, because that would be a waste of this opportunity.

“It has to be a lesson and we must learn from it, to understand where we went wrong and not do it again. It is important, as so far we have done very well.”

Juventus were considered almost equal favourites with Inter for the Scudetto after a splendid pre-season that saw them beat Real Madrid.

“A bit of everything happens in the summer,” continued Del Piero. “There are peaks and troughs depending on how many games and training sessions you go through.

“Our growth has to go beyond the physical and psychological moment of the team, we need to aim higher because we are capable of doing so.”

Ciro Ferrara said the “slap in the face would do us good,” but the captain admits his Coach was not so philosophical straight after the 4-1 defeat.

“His face didn't suggest anything good. Then again, that was true of all of us, as nobody likes to lose.”

Word !! Nice to hear from our Capitano, as always.

Don't remember the last time I didn't hear "pearls of wisdom" from Pinturicchio :martini:
