but no problem. some players get personal accolaids, others get team ones. im sure hes not fussed. winning the scudetto that many times would be a great feeling.

If he's not a starter he won't have a chance, whether he deserves it or not. Most of these awards are jokes anyway.

Ronaldo was by far the best player in the world at the time he won the first two. And the third was deserving because of his World Cup performance.

He only won twice. The 1997 was quite sensible, though not 100%, but ok. 2002 was a joke. A good wc doesn't erase a whole year not playing and that lazio game, . After Del Piero didn't win it in 1995 and 1996 it became a joke for me. 2002 just pissed me off. i think the real question though is why owen won it in 2001!

Simply because he was the top-scorer of a team (pool) which won 5 cups that season, and above all because no player really stood out!
