There's a difference being implying something and doing what Agnelli did. Del Piero has publicly stated he would play for free. What does that imply to you? The matter of disrespect is, like I said to Martin. a) the context of the announcement. B) not letting the man himself be the one to make the announcement, so we all know that this is what he wants. In fact, given how sensitive this situation is, it would be best that Del Piero himself gave us the closure as fans. That hasn't happened, and it's unacceptable.

Seeing our track record, its pretty damn obvious how we treat those loyal to us. Fuck, we haven't even spared Giovinco, potentially somebody with a big future. Maybe because he loves the club so much we took him for granted. But Amauri. He's still here on a 4m salary. And don't gimme the he didn't want to move crap. Because for that matter nor did Nedved, Trez or Giovinco.

Juventus. If only it was all in Black and White.
He said he would play for free... and he said it was his last year. What's your point? Who says he wants to stay? And once again, he made the announcement ONE MONTH after Del Piero did.

Lol, I'm pretty sure they want to get rid of Amauri. Jeez.

Del Piero: "Let's say that the President reminded me of when my contract runs out early"
Meaning that he was told to leave? That's all he said?

I am still at Andrea Agnelli's side.

The timing may have been wrong, but its better now than letting him think he is getting a new contract if he wasn't.
Yeah, at this point of the season it will do miracles for the team if Del Piero feels betrayed, bitter, disappointed and faced with a terrible end of a dream.
It was pathetic how Agnelli handled this.

Look, there's probably a hell of a lot more that unites us than what separates us, guys.

It's gonna be tough as hell watching him leave the club. Let's just stick together in this.

I didn't get this. I'll explain myself though..

I used to think I'm the biggest Juve fan out there and that no one loves this team more than me and it was a normal thing, boys pass through this phase, thankfully, I don't think this way anymore because one sees things differently with time.

What some here are trying to make me and Hoori look like was something I'd pull 5 years ago maybe.

I've honestly had enough of the, "Will you support Juve after Del Piero retires and the no player is bigger than Club" I've been reading this since 2004 and it sickens me to the point I smile when I see members posting this numerously.
I don't get your point here.

So you're saying you've "matured" beyond supporting a club above all else to... supporting a player above all else? And you think that somehow gives you a vantage to condescend those that still believe a club comes before any player and aren't afraid to say it (via the implication that they're childish)?

That seems off, to say the least.

I don't think people ask you about supporting Juventus after so and so retires because they're trying to prove themselves as greater fans to you or anyone else reading, but more so, because it's a bit shocking that someone would cease to be a fan after a number of years (in your case, I see you joined this Juventus forum in 2003 and presumably followed for at least a little while prior) and give it up just like that because a single cog in the wheel, regardless of its importance, has departed. Loving a player is one thing, but you'd have to think, after all this time, that some sort of attachment to and affection for the club itself would have developed.

If you can watch Juventus for, say, ten years every weekend and bail out now, hands clean, that makes me smile. In disgust.
