I cant understand how can you talk about DP's rest, wheather he should have been or shouldnt have been rested. We should all be happy about the win and about Trezeguet scoring.

I'm not sure what you're talking about, as we are all happy about the win. Maybe you didn't check the Match thread.

We are just discussing if resting Ale was a good thing for the Chelsea game or not.

I have a good feeling about the chelsea game.. Having Trezeguet back is such a great addition to the whole team.

Del Piero will show the supposedly english team what he is made of. When planing a defense against Del Piero its always a lose lose situation.

Scenario 1:
They concentrate on Del Piero which gives other players enough space to score. And what other players do we have :D Trezeguet and Amauri.

Scenario 2:
They decide the rough play will scare alex away. In the process a free kick is awarded and baaang..

Scenario 3:
They decide to try to push Alex away as far as possible without committing fouls. Del Piero will dribble past them and/or send the rest of the team some world class assists.

Scenario 4:
They decide to play against del piero as any other player on the field. Result: read all three previous scenarios :D

God bless alex.

Or Alex could play a poor match against a tight defense (example: Inter). He is still a human after all.

Not to mention the whole team sucked that night, which creates Scenario 5.

Sorry to break the party for you. :p

I remember an interview that was with platini where they asked him about Alex. He felt jealous abit that all attention was on Ale's free kicks and said something like "I have scored many incredible free kicks and then started to talk about how the ball is now easier to do stuff with" then one of the journalists mentioned something Zenit free kick so Platini paused for few seconds and said "that was just magic to curl the ball in two directions... just magic"

I don't have the link now, maybe someone can provide cause I watched the Interview on TV.
