i dnt think he will do anything silly i mean he learnt his lesson and he knows that if he fucks something up he will be immediatly dropped from the squad because there are other players that can replace him,
------------------buffon----------------------
zambrotta--nesta---cannavaro-chiellini---
camoranesi-de rossi-pirlo---gattuso------
---------toni----------gilardino-------------

is the most balanced team but one has to see the form of players before the wc,

------------------buffon----------------------
zambrotta--nesta---cannavaro-chiellini---
---------camoranesi--pirlo---gattuso------
-----------------del piero-------------------
--------toni------------------gilardino------

with: grosso, de rossi, cassano, totti and other super subs ready to come in

---------------------------------Buffon----------------------------
-----Grosso--------Cannavaro----------Nesta------Zambrotta
---------Camoranesi-----Pirlo--- ---De Rossi/Gattuso--------
------------------Totti--------------------------------------------
-------------------------------------------------Del Piero--------
------------------------------------Toni----------------------------

Pretty risky, I know and it really depends on De Rossi's form. Putting both Totti and Del Piero in there could cause problems, but I still think it's worth a shot. They have been great together at several occasions.

its a shame lippi doesnt like pannuci and please for the love of god no matrix
Panucci is a joke. I don't recall him doing any great defensive action. Materazzi is quite possibly the worst defender I ever saw wearing an Azzurri jersey. His performance against Cote d'Ivoire alone is enough to let him stay at home.

Materazzi is a joke, but i don`t think so about Panucci.
When he was on form, he`s good,
great marking and constantly supply good crosses.

How bad could be Capello`s fav :)

When has totti ever learned his lesson.......

I say, if we are going to suffer.....lets say conseed a goal and have to fight back against a tough oponent, then i can see totti deciding to start his own fight with some player....a la kicking the opponent with his foot.especially the one whos laying, personal revenge on any player who tackles him or something like that.......his that kind of player in roma and will be with italy also.......i just dont understand how the media isnt on to him.......

LOL, its so funny to read topics from channel4 or some other site: Totti`s Italy almoust there. That titel was after a game when we needed 1 point to q......f-cking idiot....like his the idol of italian football....

Did he even apologysed what he had done in portugal.....i dont even care what fight he might had with poulsen....but the thing is, you dont spit to other player face.....I know that the whole team apologysed, but did totti himself?
    ----

I hope materazzi wont make it to the starting eleven also, actually let him stay in italy with vieri....

Not selecting Totti would be unfair. However his place in the starting 11 shouldn't be garanteed. Moreover if he does something wrong before the WC, like getting several red cards etcetera, he should be left out the starting 11. His red card risk is too big and if we build our team around Totti, we're screwed.

actually i think if we should use that "play game over one man" tactic, then i think it would be pirlo....great passes, can attack if needed, can come back to defend....normal behaivor..isnt nervous guy......

Although i wouldnt use that tactic at all....because everything might always happen to that player....something like happened to totti, two yellows, injury, not full fit or something else.....

about totti....well i think lippi should use somekind of "la capello tactic" (with montella, del piero and recently camoranesi).

Then again, whats the reason to take a player to world cup, if you gona bench him in every game to chanse his behaivor?

Actually, isnt there another player, Fiore.......but i dont know much about him, is he with viola now? if i am right? But before that, he was in spain? valencia?
