Ideal Political/Economic System (2 Viewers)

AC and I were wondering that as this hasn't been around recently yet pervades the entirety of every serious discussion about politics that happens here what everybody thought the ideal political system was and why? Also is there and cross-cultural ideal type of political system that would work for people outside of the west as well as us normals .



To make things easier we can use the Authoritarian-Democratic-Anarchic divide as the core aspect of the system in question and then any off-shoots or hybrids like constitutional monarchy or indeed Manged Democracy (also know as thinly veiled authoritarian kleptocracy).



So I'll go first and then will explain why everyone else is wrong...

Democratic- Secular - Non-Universal Suffrage -Pure Socialism

Democracy without universal suffrage because some people are retarded and lazy and should not be allowed to vote if their are ill-informed and inactive citizens, Secular because I don't want the Nations children to be sodomised, Purely socialist because fuck inequality and exchange based on exploitation.

Mine would be a secular parliamentary democracy with an emphasis on balanced budgets, economic nationalism, and liberal social policies.

I'm in favor of relatively low taxes and I think that a "flattish" tax without loopholes would work best, something like a unique rate of 30-35% (Federal+Procincial) for everyone with an exemption for the first 15-17 000$ of income. In this way, it is still "progressive" as the poor do not pay and it is much harder for rich to avoid taxes due to the lack of loopholes and it's still relatively low and therefore removes the incentive of emigrating or using tax shelters.

I hate deficits and thus, the government would promote balanced budgets at any time, with the exception of economic crises.

The government would also stop shipping jobs to China and promote manufacturing jobs here because they enable the growth of a strong middle class.

The military budget would be relatively low, with a maximum of 2% of GDP.

All drugs would be legal but not glamorized as the Drug War is stupid and a massive failure.
Gay marriage, prostitution, and abortion would be legal too.
The state would be secular and not promote any religion.

On guns, something similar to what we have here. A ban on automatic guns and a lot of regulations on the sale and buying of weapons, with extensive interrogations, mental tests, and so on.

Post-secondary tuition fees would be similar to what we have in Canada, between 5000 and 10 000$ per year with an emphasis on scholarships and student loans.
Universities should make it harder for arts and humanities students by increasing requirements and the grades needed for being accepted in a program. There are too many arts/humanities students and not enough science students.

Health care would be similar to what they have in Switzerland, a system in which everyone is covered and about 40% of hospitals and clinics are private, driving health care costs down and waiting time as well.

The government would promote education, learning, creativity, the entrepreneurial spirit, and hard work. Science would also be encouraged in schools.

That's what it would be in a nutshell.

What do you mean with educational weighting?

I'd definitely like the poor to achieve a similar level of education as the rich so that we would have less ignorant people at the voting booth. I'm not sure how that would be achievable, though.

By educational weighting I would mean some sort of formula that not only used Academic performance but also social circumstance for example a score of 4.0 out of 5.0 for a poor kid in public school would be as good for a college application as a 5.0 out of 5.0 for a rich kid. There's a big argument in ireland atm because the state subsidises private schools which is utterly insane.
