MDS very poor and MDL a bit shaky. The space between these two looks like an issue, neither know who to pick up. Hopefully just not enough communicating and just needs someone to take control. MDL doesn't look like the type, so need De Ligt to do it.

So good to have Costa back, an actually footballer who can run with the ball and cause problems. Rabiot looks good, Pjanic getting on the ball more. Still our fullback positions that worry me, there’s no danger there.

Higuain has done an ok job but he’s not the answer to that CF position. Let’s get Mandzukic or Dybala in for the 2nd half and try bentancur for Sami. Be good to see Danilo and Demiral as well

Joao is some player and had he not scored that wow goal the thoughts would have been different. Clearly the defence isn't sharp or talking in the same level but I'm not too bothered just yet. We just gotta tuttosport over our dominating possession and the number of chances we created. Costa and Rabiot have been brilliant. Khedira man as much as I want him to go, his still got it and is sharp.

Easily. Would've been a whole different season in terms of how we played.
