About a year ago, Burke and I were able to meet several Chelsea players after their game against DC United in Washington DC, and now we are back for more. FC Barcelona is scheduled to play Red Bull New York at Giants Stadium on Saturday, and of course the Burke and myself have tickets for the match.

Last year we were able to find out which hotel in DC the Chelsea team was staying at, and this year we have been taking measures to find the hotel Barcelona will occupy. Thus far we have been unsuccessful in finding the name of the hotel which means we will have to resort to calling the various 5-star hotels in Manhattan and Northern Jersey to ask for individuals named Frank Rijkaard and Lionel Messi at the front desk. Last year we called the Mandarin Oriental in DC, asked for Joe Cole, and the operator said there was not only a Joe Cole staying on the premisses, but also a Charlton Cole. Unless Barcelona takes extra security measures with their summer tours, we should be able to find the name of the hotel with a little bit of work. Afterall, the only place such a feat is possible is on American soil, obviously.

Here's hoping the dynamic American football supporting duo of Andy and Burke will meet the likes of Messi and Ronaldinho to go along with the Englishmen Lampard and Terry.

I hope you get to meet them.

Though I wonder what that must be like. I mean, would it be awesome to meet Del Piero? I have my doubts about that. Del Piero would probably barely care as I'm just another fan and after all I don't like him because of his grand monologues. I guess I'd talk to him like I would to any other guy apart from the fact I'd say his goal against Germany was awesome and that he has a career to be proud of. Other than that it's just a guy,you know.

It's indeed just a guy, however meeting and chatting with some of the most famous footballers in the world is not exactly an opportunity to let pass. Meeting Lampard and Terry was simply amazing and they are both cool guys, certainly unlike the douchbag Drogba who doesnt have a care in the world and just spoke with someone in French on his cell the entire time. Actually, the most open and personable player we met was Joe Cole, however that was after Burke left threatening voicemails on the player's hotel room phone. :D

Depending on what happens, I'll certainly be leaving something nice for Thuram. At least a nasty and threatening voicemail... or a bag of shit outside his room... something of the sort.

Zambro and Thuram will probably room together, so we can kill two birds with one stone

Actually, if you could hand him a letter thanking him for the memories, signed by a hundred or so juventuz.com punters, that'd be ultra-cool.

its totally separate. I made a thread called nicest members, and lou said that. And seven had that in one of his several high profile exits from the forum. He slagged lou off for 2 paragraphs and ended on that note. In my opinion, fecking hillarious.

I just love the fact lou tries to be so warm to his fellow man and seven throws everything back his face. its funny.

Del Piero is a great guy to meet in person.

    Stephen Appiah is even better.

You get to meet Zambrotta?! Coolness. The only thing better would be meeting Del or Zidane! Lucky guys!

Good luck to you both and may your stalkerish ways pay off big time.
