I'll take a stab... and probably a sad one at that. My Andy trivia is a bit rusty, I'm afraid.

That might not be the right answer, however being in America this was the unforunate reality...I mean channels such as Fox Soccer Channel have only come around in the last decade or so. The first soccer match I ever remember seeing was the World Cup games in 1994..

That's just scary. I know I'm only 18 myself, but 1998 is still fresh in my mind. It was a great football year as well TBH. One of my favorite seasons.

1994 is probably the first big tournament I really followed. I was 7 at that time and I think I have been following football since 1993-1994. I had been watching games since I was 5 though (1992), because that's when I started playing football. But I guess you need at least some bagage to be actually able to understand what's happening out there.

I did that in 1998. It had that really ugly Scot. Yeah, that guy gave us a blast back then. Took me ages to get Del Piero's picture though.

Well I actually started playing football at age five as well...I just did not really know about it in the world of television. My father never watched soccer and I don't think there were many opportunities to watch it on TV here in the States prior to WC 94. When I was younger I just loved playing the sport..

In Belgium watching football every once in a while is pretty inevitable. Even people who hate the sport hear much about it. Not knowing Del Piero for example would make people frown.
