Did a bit of googling .. Gazzetta as well as some unofficial Juve-sites say 178 goals in 444 matches, that's Serie A. Then these unofficial sites like Juventusstory.it and Juventus1897.it also mentions 13 matches of Coppa Italia and one goal. Juventusstory.it also has two appearances in Coppa Latina and three goals. I really don't know anything about that Coppa Latina except it was played eight times between years 1949 and 1957.

So depending which goals count the number is 178, 179 or 182. Reminder - these numbers are taken from various places so I am not saying these are 100% sure.

There was some kid of a cup where Boniperti scored 3 goals...don't know if they count.

I think the official number to beat is 179.

Back then Coppa Latino was considered official.

Just to clear things .. according to Alex at Juventus.com

“Brinderò a quota 183 gol. Il record di Boniperti mi interessa, ma non deve essere vissuto come una priorità”

in some italian cup match i think

oops, 183 it seems
That 183 is the one Alex will celebrate as he'd have the record by himself.

Coppa Latina can be considered as a some sort of predecessor of Champions Cup/UCL/whatever as it was a competition for the champions of french, italian and spanish champions.

What does your sig mean, Ven?
The first part is just one semi-classic quote from a finnish sports commentator who managed to f up his words - clearly saying something about Hyypiä..

The latter part, well you have to be finnish football fan to understand it correctly but it's a quote from the head of our FA. Opposite for "Eteenpäin on menty" which was a popular mantra in the days of our former NT coach. Amongst fans it's a synonyme for 1) being not that responsible for the results (just say EOM and everythings fine); 2) 4-2-3-1 tactic which Muurinen used (all the time).
