Yep, we'd rather spend that difference on Zazas, Zuzus and what nots of the world, than getting into bidding over something our team really needs. Our terms
It's becoming a bit of a pattern, that's a little more worrying for me, than us actually doing it as a one off.
We'll spend 30 million on two players, one half decent and one crap....it's more about quantity than quality with Marotta.
just like my uncle who buys tomatoes to make the sauce, wont pay for the expensive boxes that have 100% usable tomatoes, but travels an hour to some bloke he has always bought off and buys boxes for half the price but has to throw 50% of them away cuz they are rotten.
That's embarassing if it is true.
Midtable mentality if you ask me, but people tend to disagree.
With this rate, we'd be able to sign such players in 2035 then. We're coming from 2 Serie A titles and a 1/8 elimination in the CL. There probably would also be some income from sales. We have offloaded Iaquinta (€3.5M / year) from our wage list. What better chances do you see us getting in the future than this without capable players upfront?
When and if FFP kicks into effect, and Uefa grow a pair and actually ban the likes of City, PsG and the oil clubs from competing in the CL as punishment. But when I last checked, City has already found some loopholes with the way they're going about it. Malaga hasn't yet, so they're easy prey.
I don't really understand what's so complicated with signing someone who we apparently already agreed personal terms with and the player himself already said he wants out. Once Real appoints their new coach, I don't really see much excuses for Marotta.
I don't either. But the society has all the answers.
Why would it be weird to value Higuain less? Don't people have different opinions? Even if they did, doesn't mean to say they want to pay €30m for him.
Don't disagree with not valuing a player, but when identifying him as a prime target there are already certain market conditions that exist that are going to drive his price up or down. Which we are aware of at the time we even start thinking of that player. if what's reported is true, and we don't want to get into an auction, then we have no business identifying a player who has a fair reputation and is likely to have others interested.
Hmm.
