Likewise

Thing is, you get frisky sometimes but rather for a post or so, which is fine and dandy...what irks me about Tuz these days (and don't say its the "Tuz way" cuz its changed a bit) is that some members make a point to hound your every post anymore to be a dick.

But you're cool. :D
I'm not one to hold a grudge and constantly be a dick like certain posters.

Now enough small talk. Lets cyber

NOW.

They don't talk about contracts. They inquire as to availability.

An example. Juve wants Higuain. So they contact Higuain's agent to see if the would be down to move. No money is mentioned. If the player is keen, then Juve contact Madrid as to availability. If the club says, sure we might sell him. Then Juve can go back to the agent with a contract idea. The two clubs negotiate a fee, the fee is accepted and the player looks over the contract. If it's good. Bloom a transfer is born.

Now the issue comes if Real Madrid say no, we do not wish to sell our player, we do not allow you to speak to the player. If Juventus then offer a contract to the agent and continue to press the player, then that is illegal. But it's hard to prove and most of the big teams do it. Chelsea got busted for it a while back with Kalkuta or whatever his name is and they lost a transfer window.

But yeah, most of the "player and club have come to an agreement" and there hasn't been an accepted offer is mostly paper bullshit.
This also happened when Ronaldo went to Madrid. United were on the verge of filing a complaint about Real allready offering

Giovinco was carrying Parma on his shoulders. Everything dangerous came through him.
Very true.

But that doesn't mean we shouldn't sign Diamanti, just because Giovinco didn't work out well.

Giovinco just gets pushed around too much, he doesn't have the physicality to do better here at Juventus.

What is it with the 30m price tags where we always collapse at?

29.9999999999999999m and we are good...but 30m is out of the question.

jovetic for 30m. No.
Higuain for 30m. No.

We have to deal with Madrid yet, so this is far from a done deal. I'm sure Agüero, Dzeko and others would have come here too based on the terms we have offered.

The issue is how far we take negotiating the fee with Madrid. I'm not an advocate on 'break the bank' or 'just give them what they want' for any player, we have our parameters, but the sticking point can be if an oil club gets a sniff and just asks Madrid to name their price. We aren't in that market.
Man speaks sensibly - everyone quickly forgets previous "done deals" that never happened.

Don't get too excited guys - this is faaaarrrr from over, and if history is any lesson, it has a low probability of happening when the big money spenders jump in.

If I'm Real Madrid, I'd be holding out for the entire duration of the transfer market waiting for Chelsea, City, PSG, and the likes to give me the highest offer possible. I have no interest or benefit in selling to Juve if they don't make the highest offer.

All this Diamanti/Diamond talk in the Higuain thread is revolting. At least if we signed someone with diamond titties, we'd be in the money.

I think it happened with Figo as well. We had agreed terms with Sporting, Parma with the player, and he ended up in Spain cuz Fifa/UEFA prohibited him from playing in Italy (and Italian clubs from signing him) for a one year period.
