Fcuk all that. This is why Elkann thinks Juve is a lost cause. Look at how we spend our money. Its absolutely fucking ridiculous. Please het Marrotta the fuck out of here. Trez, Diego, Camo, Gio out last season. And this year he hasn't been able to get rid of Amauri, Sissoko, and the lot. But the first deal he's ready to do is, get rid of Melo. Its amazing.
But you cannot say who he's able to get rid of and who's not unless the transfer window is closed

I think that it is obvious to just about everyone that Aguero is the superior player to Rossi.

It's pretty hard to dispute that.

What gets me though is how so many people are calling Rossi average or mediocre, when that is just the farthest from the truth.

It's not his fault that he isn't as good as Aguero.

Rossi should be judged on his own merits

Dunno about your logic on the phones, but let me try to understand. Rossi has to be the Iphone, somethin totally overrated which costs to much. Htc is Aguero, good in every way and expensive. That sounds about correct

I did not say Rossi is mediocre. NEVER. I just said that we are paying too much for him.

I regret to make this comparison in the first place because we're not really choosing between the two, we never really had a shot at Aguero but anyways:

Rossi for 25M + bonuses vs. Aguero for 45M + bonuses (Man City bid?)

Rossi for 3.5M/yr vs. Aguero for 7M/yr

Some here will say Aguero is double the player Rossi is, I will say he isn't. Rossi is not as good but for 45M and 7M/yr we can end up with Rossi and another great player.

This scenario does not call for suicide people.

Rossi is NOT a mediocre Italian. He does not play the game like this generation's Italians. FFS, he has played his whole life outside of Italy. This is not Gilardino. This is a highly skilled and quick player like an Eden Hazard who half this board would rip their foreskin off for if we signed for 30M.

Ok. Here is what I think about this.

If you are Atletico Madrid, and you know that you have a very hot commodity in Aguero, why are you going to jump at the first offer that comes along? We are not talking about an unknown in Aguero. He has been on the minds of a lot of football people for the last 5 years. The escape clause in his contract was for Spanish Teams only. Meaning, that ATM were well within their rights to wait for the highest bidder from foreign leagues. It is what any smart team would do when you have an asset such as this.

And ManCity also got something known as "A billion dollar owner" a couple of years ago as well
Wasnt there a very clear approach from us, in which they spelt out demands, and we left them with a sorry excuse of an offer? If Aguero was our first priority, which I firmly believe he was, we enquired and should have paid the 40m asking price with immediate effect, clear about our intentions on the mercato. Instead, we went from Sanchez, to Aguero, to Rossi. Too many variables in the Sanchez deal to complain about, but here, our own confusion got to us before ManCity did. The agreement with Aguero was in place, we didn't close with his club because we have a bunch of incompetents trying to run a market on our terms. We couldn't get Martinez on our terms, how were we aiming to get Aguero? We dropped the ball. I get your bit about Atletico holding out, but our approach didn't help. As for the ManCity billion dollar owner, that's the point I was trying to make. Our one marquee signing would've come had we made some economic sacrifices which we are refusing to do. The money IMO has been there before this year, to make a signing that makes a difference even under our current conditions. Money talks.

If they wanted/needed to leave of course. We would have zero chance if Ribery wasn't willing to leave or that Nani is now a question mark with them signing Young.
I'd have thought Valencia would be the question mark at Man Utd, but it would be silly to get him. If either are willing to leave then great, I think Nani said that he'll remain in Manchester though. Ribéry I don't know, our biggest shot is using Toni, but Bayern hate Juventus.

rossi as the star singing of the mercato is a disgrace regardless of whose fault it is
