In fact Vidal was linked with a bunch of clubs all summer by the Chilean and English press, but there was never a mention of Bayern at any point. His agent was never spotted in Munich, Vidal had never spoken about Germany, but only remaining in Italy at Juve. Alongside the fact that it was he who asked to leave, could it also be possible that this was actually handled internally on a club level by both managements? We don't speculate, we don't talk about it and everything happens behind the scenes? Isn't it possible that the clubs were pushing for this and that's how the entire thing remain hushed up? Coz there is no way this wouldn't have gotten out if it was happening only on the player's level, or players agents level. That's far easier to pick out in a developing transfer story. This for most part is a story that happened a lot sooner and without any speculation. And now, since we are all wondering, I think it's only be fair we get both sides of the story before deciding on which side of the truth we stand. Until then I think there's too much hypothesis about the player wanting out.

That apart, I believe we were always after an AM this season.

This deal was too sudden for a player of this calibre to have not had any speculation or drama surround it. My personal take is that the club probably wanted it too and it's their involvement that eased the transfer and made it happen as quick. But that would not be fair on my part towards the club. This is going to go around in circles. You're going to get hit with some repetitive counter augments about the incoming transfers being fantastic. Let's just wait till the am and lb questions are answered before passing conclusive judgment. So far, we have our work cut out and the rumours don't look much to write home about coz we've gone from zgoetze to Draxler and Sandro to Sequiera. If the latter two work out and we sign em, and if they prove to be a roaring success, then I would give full credit to Beppe and Paratici coz I don't think any of them were Allergri's first couple of choices for the role. Let's see how this pans out though.

If you open up the door for those guys to leave they will jump on it, just like Vidal just did. But if you send out the message that you're not letting any of your player leave then nobody will ask for it unless they get benched.

the point is to convince your best players that you have a project here that is worth staying for. It's not to much as just simply telling your players you can't leave. Considering we just reached the final fo the CL, and we signed so many good players I didn't think this was that hard to convince. I still remain to believe that the damage was done with the sale of Tevez

Tevez case was an exception, Marotta didn't really have another option there.

But he said many times that it's Juventus policy to not keep any unsatisfied player. It's giving too much for them.

Of course their will is very important. But also is the contract they signed. The basic principle of fulfilling contracts and keeping your word.

I feel we are too light hearted when dealing with this, definitely.
