Some interesting posts in the last couple of pages, though I wanted to point out to those who think that Vidal only wanted Bayern, or that we are speculating they were perhaps in talks for longer than we know. Here's some food for thought. We only got to know about the deal the day the agent showed up to sign papers, until that point, we had no inkling about it.

In fact Vidal was linked with a bunch of clubs all summer by the Chilean and English press, but there was never a mention of Bayern at any point. His agent was never spotted in Munich, Vidal had never spoken about Germany, but only remaining in Italy at Juve. Alongside the fact that it was he who asked to leave, could it also be possible that this was actually handled internally on a club level by both managements? We don't speculate, we don't talk about it and everything happens behind the scenes? Isn't it possible that the clubs were pushing for this and that's how the entire thing remain hushed up? Coz there is no way this wouldn't have gotten out if it was happening only on the player's level, or players agents level. That's far easier to pick out in a developing transfer story. This for most part is a story that happened a lot sooner and without any speculation. And now, since we are all wondering, I think it's only be fair we get both sides of the story before deciding on which side of the truth we stand. Until then I think there's too much hypothesis about the player wanting out.

That apart, I believe we were always after an AM this season.

Does that make him a liar like some accused Tevez of being?

You're asking this question basis the assumption that Vidal asked to leave. Which is what my post was about. Let's not hypothesise till we get his side of the story. Two can play this game Hust. What if he comes out and says that I was happy in Turin, but the accident in Chile changed the clubs perspective about me? Would Beppe be a liar then?

About the player specifically, as much as I love Carlitos, I can tell you that Arturo was probably more Juve than Tevez would ever be.

No, from what I can see, there's a few that have bought into the management's side of the story that it was the player who wanted out. I'm not entirely buying into that, just yet. This deal was too sudden for a player of this calibre to have not had any speculation or drama surround it. My personal take is that the club probably wanted it too and it's their involvement that eased the transfer and made it happen as quick. But that would not be fair on my part towards the club. So I'm just going to wait till we get the truth on this one.

Oh really? :D God save your theories though if Draxler comes in and gets the number 10. I will be guns blazing. And if I don't find you here, I'll track you down on my PSN network and loan the fuck out of your wallet with absolutely no obligation to return any of it.

they allowed our vital players to leave for nothing and replacing them with risky players.

Tevez : top scorer, top 3 striker in the world. creative and hungry for more.
Vidal : best cm in the world. scores 10+ per season, one of the best penalty taker.
Pirlo : free kick and corner taker. a leader.

and now :

Dybala : no comment.

Khedira : physically strong but completely different player to Vidal.

Zaza : is that really necessary?

Mandzukic : he is a hardworking-type player but our offensive creativity is not enough for him. and we don't play with wingers.

Draxler : selling Vidal and signing this guy? really Beppe? what an exciting name to make us happy!

basically the team is completely changed but why? oh, they wanted to go ok! I'm waiting a huge disappointment for this season. everything has changed, we lost our atmosphere. we lost our leaders on the pitch(Vidal, Tevez and Pirlo) and off the pitch.(Storari and Pepe)

completely different season waiting for us. be ready for the departure of Pogba next year. then maybe Morata. we can't keep our best players anymore because if they wants to go, they will go. what a best way to sell our expensive players! #forzacricket!

This is going to go around in circles. You're going to get hit with some repetitive counter augments about the incoming transfers being fantastic. Let's just wait till the am and lb questions are answered before passing conclusive judgment. So far, we have our work cut out and the rumours don't look much to write home about coz we've gone from zgoetze to Draxler and Sandro to Sequiera. If the latter two work out and we sign em, and if they prove to be a roaring success, then I would give full credit to Beppe and Paratici coz I don't think any of them were Allergri's first couple of choices for the role. Let's see how this pans out though.

He told his key players they are free to leave if they ask to, silly really.
its strange, really. I mean, every damn south american player would ask to leave Manchester City/United/Liverpool and the rest of those shitty cities for cultural reasons if they could. But those teams would never let them go.

If you open up the door for those guys to leave they will jump on it, just like Vidal just did. But if you send out the message that you're not letting any of your player leave then nobody will ask for it unless they get benched.

Nah I like that policy of ours. It allows us to stand out amongst all the usual asshole clubs. I like that we understood Tevez's desires for example. Much better to let him and Vidal go than have them hang around after requesting a transfer.

Man maybe I'm too soft and lefty for supporting a top team :D

the point is to convince your best players that you have a project here that is worth staying for. It's not to much as just simply telling your players you can't leave. Considering we just reached the final fo the CL, and we signed so many good players I didn't think this was that hard to convince. I still remain to believe that the damage was done with the sale of Tevez

Tevez case was an exception, Marotta didn't really have another option there.

But he said many times that it's Juventus policy to not keep any unsatisfied player. It's giving too much for them.

Of course their will is very important. But also is the contract they signed. The basic principle of fulfilling contracts and keeping your word.

I feel we are too light hearted when dealing with this, definitely.
