unreal. he was still quite good.

find me a dm that does the amount of work he does. then find me one that also scores and assists like he does.

btw in the coppa he looked back to his old form. and that was him stringing together 5-6 good games.

unlike what delpiero 86 says.

fucking hypocrites
 and a few weeks back he was saying that we shouldn't sell Vidal because he was one of our best players.

Such hypocrisy.
That should be considered trolling, but he's not named Cronios, so it passes.

I like Vidal and ofc I didn't want him sold. Fortunately we have people to make these hard decisions because fans rarely get it right. You sig is a good example, or you announcing friggin' Taarabt as new Zidane, Klin's inability to grasp basics of running a good business, etc...

Nowhere is that mentioned in an interview, but I guess people here know for a fact how the conversation went between mgt and Vidal behind close doors.

Teme qualche avversaria in particolare mister?

MAROTTA: "Noi abbiamo sempre detto che non trasferiamo i giocatori a meno che gli stessi giocatori ci indichino la strada che vogliono intraprendere. E così è stato. Tevez ha chiesto di poter tornare nel suo habitat naturale in Argentina. Andrea Pirlo ha fatto delle sue valutazioni legittimi e compresibili di un'esperienza nuova. Ogbonna ha chiesto di poter trovare spazio e continuità nel giocare;

He (Vidal) was asked again (Marotta sort of looking for confirmation from him here as Vidal probably expressed his desire to leave before). Very different from the way you present it.

@zizinho

This thread is why I want nothing to do with the footballing sections right now.

We bring in 3 good-to-excellent players.
We manage to sell some dead wood for decent prices.
We lose 3 players who want to move on.
We confirm we are looking for a CAM.
There is still over a month left in mercato to bring in a CAM and maybe a LB.
There are at least 2-3 months left before we'll have any idea how good our team will be with changes made.

SO, you'd think people would take the wait and see approach. Let's see who we sign in the next month. Let's see how the team starts the season. Let's see how we do in the CL group stages. Let's wait and see before we say this was a terrible mercato.

Nope. Instead it's meltdown, and:

Beppe isn't good enough for a club like Juve.
Beppe is acting like he's at Sampdoria still.
We're a selling club.
We're on the same level as Dortmund.
We're going to lose scudetto and do terrible in CL.

And the sad part is these people aren't even trolling. It was the same when we lost COnte last year. Look at the Allegri thread. People were claiming we wouldn't even make the top 3 and CL for this year.

Could our management have made some bad signings and we have a lousy year? Sure. It's a possibility. But the likelihood from all we've experienced under Marotta and Paratici is that we should give them the benefit of the doubt and wait for the season to arrive to see how good this rejuvenated and younger squad looks.

This won't happen though. SO :snoop:

Where did you get this info?

Marotta didn't say anything in this regard. The transfer was made following the regular procedure where Vidal's agent informed Marotta of accepting a contract offer from Bayern, and Marotta called Vidal to confirm his will to move. Not a big deal.

Look, if right now Marotta is holding this while they look for AMs, I can understand it.

But if it goes through and we can't get an AM, I will be pissed. We need some insurance.

I just hoped Marotta could play some hardball here to let Juve in a better position.

so how do you explain marotta going to munich to sell vidal
The way I read the interview is that Vidal asked for transfer to Bayern, Marotta asked for confirmation before taking off and after getting a nod, left to close the deal.

I'm trying to imagine this.

Vidal: Beppe I want to go to Bayern Munich?

Beppe: ok.

Beppe books his tickets to Munich and is wearing his hat and trench coat before walking out the door, and asks Vidal one more time.

Beppe: You sure you want to go to Bayern Munich?

Vidal: yes.

Beppe leaves.

Seriously, for all intents and purposes the club was also open to this move, probably more than the player himself. And so far from the looks of it, they're behind the curve on this deal. I think it will also be as fair to the player to let us hear his version before agreeing that Beppe is speaking the truth, because he's kind of already dispensed with that theory this season.

Not bashing Beppe incidentally. Just saying let's be open to all plausible scenarios including Beppe and Paratici bringing us Goetze and Sandro which is par for the course this summer.

Sounds like we acquired Tevez, Vidal and Pirlo and lost Vitale, Rubinho and Marrone.

Language is a funny thing isn't it? ;)

Where's the dispute then? We both agree Vidal agreed terms beforehand, his agent informed Marotta, who asked for confirmation (player expressed his desiree to move according to Marotta) and went to make a deal.

Btw does that really matter? Both sides could blocked the move. Either Vidal only wanted us or Juve didn't want to sell... Wouldnt be the first time. In the end the Bayern opportunity came and I guess both parties were happy. Juve didn't want to extend his contract for a total of 5 years with high wages. Vidal took his chance for a big and long contract for a team that maybe has also a bigger chance to win the cl

In Marrotta's defence, I don't think he will let a situstion arise where we start the season without an AM.
