Yeah, there were definitively some problems about Real Madrid and Di Maria, most probably because they didn't want to give him a higher wage.

And, it doesn't matter if they win CL three times in a row and have a great set of players, the moment Barca gets a Suarez caliber player, they have to reply with their new shinny toy.

Most probably not.

It was because MU went full panic.
This.

I think Madrid didnt want to sell Di Maria, but the player wasent keen on staying at his current terms. When no acceptable offer was given, Madrid was even less reluctant
When united went full panic, Madrid didnt want to sell at all, and a 75mil offer was needed to convince him

Cause from all teams, madrid is the last to have a problem when a player wants out that they want to keep. As if Di Maria's wage and value means anything on that 500+mil turnover and positive balance

I don't understand what you mean :D
I mean that Di Maria is worth 40mil, and went for 75 mill cause madrid didnt want to sell

Ah ok. Well if you know that a club is desperate and has money, why not get all you could? Especially with FFP now.

I think he was in the "not for sale, unless price is met" and "we can do without him" group of players.

Because if Real Madrid didn't want him to leave at all costs, they would give him the wages he wanted and kept him.

Real obviously overpayed back then, not unusual for them. Right now Di Maria is 50m player at most. United got ripped off there.

We can't set standards on the market based on few idiotic deals, like Luiz for instance.

Same goes for Arsenal and Sanchez. Spaniards robbed them.

Di Maria put out a letter in the paper that said he didn't want to leave. It's obvious Real Madrid wants to buy a top striker like Falcao soon and the only expendable player is Di Maria after they got Kroos and James that can play as a #10.

You're just writing stuff that makes sense to you.

For instance, Barca didn't rip them off as much as Udinese ripped off Barca when they bought him for around 35mln.

Di Maria is a world class players who was available but at the club that's one of the best around. If you want him then you'll have to pay.

Di Maria to cost 50mln while Morata costs 20mln lol... sure buddy.

He was the key player to them winning the past CL. That does not increase the value of a player, it's just marginal achievement
Not just that CL but he was wonderful whole season. Actually he was great ever since he joined Madrid.

Di Maria is worth 50mln at most while Morata who played 50 minutes for them is worth 20mln (which was not a robbery) :agree: it makes sense.

That goes for you as well and everyone else here. It's time for you to stop being condescending, because it's really lame and doesn't do you any justice.

I've never said that he isn't WC player, but price that was payed is exorbitant. For ME, considering his characteristics, he's 50m player.

You don't make sense either.

Just because Morata cost us 20mln doesn't mean that you have to overpay for every player.

If you want to set standards then fine, here's an example:

Luiz cost 50mln while Benatia to cost 25mln.. sure buddy

Benatia wanted out hence the less money. We'd face the same thing had it been Vidal or Pogba.

And it's not 25mln but 32 overall. But yes, it's still low for him.

Anyway, no more off-topic from moa.
