Why the fuck do we need yet another defender? This is fucking ridiculous and preposterous.

Buy an AM/TQ, cuz that is a fucking PRIORITY considering that Allegri wants to deploy a 4-3-1-2 formation.
We can put marchisio there, but this centreback issue is by far the most important if we don want to be shit in europe.

Great teams are build from the back, and we got plenty of offensive firepower

Who is the extra defender replacing? Even considering that we play a back three I don't know why we would need 6 central defenders. With Barzagli injured it does only leave us with Ogbonna as back up, but if you move that to a back four then it reduces the requirement to 2+2, and we now have fullback options.

Whoever this 6th central defender is, either he or Ogbonna is going to spend a lot of time on the bench.

The acquisition of Romulo was an incredibly stupid move and the loan of Isla without the commitment or even the option to buy.
Romulo was not only a very bad transfer decision, but also cancel the effects of other transfers, it will minimise opportunities for Maronne and Coman
and add further pressure on the right flank, whilst the left flank already had lesser depth.
The ammount we have commited on all those mediocre players proves that we could opt for few but great ones and yet we have opted once again for quantity over quality...
So my updated note on our mercato so far becomes 8-2= 6/10
Romulo has nothing to do with Coman; one is CM/RB/RWB, while the other one is winger. Marrone is not good enough, not even for a bench and therefore he'll be gone very soon.

All in all solid mercato so far, 7/10. If we manage to get Lavezzi for the attack/wings, or player of that profile, someone able to beat his marker, pacey, direct, it'll deserve 9.

Like I've said 7/10. We have improved the team yet again, making it more competitive for the season ahead of us. If in addition to an attacker/winger we manage to bring quality CB, than it'd be perfect 10.

Improved the team, how? You'd probably say 'we improved the team' if any half decent player was signed. The starting eleven is basically still the same, I don't care how deep our bench just got. Bench players don't make us better, especially since we've never had issues with depth on this team.

Sure, a 6th CB would make this mercato 10/10. Stop trolling.

And lol at people completely neglecting the acquisition of Allegri.

We imporved the bench but the starting 11 are the same players that failed in Europe but this time they will play there with Allegri. Personally, I don't see any improvement, just stepping back.

Remember first 2 games Chiello is suspended for a elbow against Pjanic,so maybe Ognonna will play a little bit more/
Of course, well he'll have to start the season as it stands. This is a similar situation to what we bought Peluso for before, and then further down the line people asked why we bought him. And that's a €5m player. We don't want to end up with a €15m player in that role.

Team is consisted of 25 players and it helps a lot if players like Padoin or Peluso aren't considered viable alternatives. Current starters are extremely good, top 8 atm.

Allegri is a good coach, did rather well with mediocre Milan team. It's foolish to write him off before the season started.

Failing in Europe has nothing to do with quality of players. You blamed mentality and approach, the most obvious issues of our last year, and I agree with you there.

Better bench means we can "conserve energy" during Serie A games and have a rested starting XI for CL.

I'm half-joking but it's true.

I agree about Ogbonna.I was just pointing out that Chiello is suspended,Barza is injured ,new coach and .... a lot of troubles.
And remember, this year I have a feeling that we will struggle in Serie A.CL is just a dream nothing real.

Our first team is very hard to improve, considering how excellent starting players we have.

Castrol index, learn it ffs, shows that replacing an average player with a good one, is far better then replacing an excellent player with an outstanding one.
In this reasoning, replacing the padoins and peluso's like you call em, with Evra's and Morata's, is actually significantly good since it allows more rotation as the drop in quality between bench and starting 11 has decreased quite a bit.

Bench players win you competitions and allow rotation to keep stars fit when they need to perform. Never had dept issues ? LOL did you not watch last season when Conte kept playing the same key players over and over in all competitions ?

Allegri has done better in europe then conte with an inferior team wich far less balance. It even had Zlatan, wich you consider a choker in europe.
Our bench gives options to rotate and counter other teams as the coach sees fit when having enough dept.

We increase the quality of the bench quite significantly. So there is that

Why people always forget that, it was not 10 years ago it was last fucking season. Half way through it we had to keep playing the same team over and over again for the lack of better choices. We didn't have "depth" when our choices were Padoin, Isla and Peluso. People complaining about buying Romulo are REALLY failing to see the bigger picture.

Its the same people mocking the dept all season long, and now neglect it.

I kinda like we are adding good options, and arent taking financial risks to buy players for a coach that has proven nothing for us yet.
The board took that risk with Conte, and despite all credentials, he didnt deliver in europe. Wich was largely due to circumstances but it still happened.

Lets spend for "allegri's preferred players" when he has proven himself with the team that Conte should have send into QF/SF of last years CL.

Well there you go, folks. Now the excuse is that we have a new coach, so we can't buy anyone really good. It is amazing how stupid and low this forum goes to defend the establishment management. It is worse than Redcafe without a doubt, and I hate Manure fans.
