Maybe Ogbonna wasn't even average.Actually it was bad.Napoli joined the race to buy him just to raise his price and we were ripped off for 15 mil.We can't sell him right now for 7 mil I think.
do you ever heard about the long term investments ?
no doubt, ogbonna is shit atm but you can't be in good form if you have been benched that much

Yes I have heard about long time investments.Rugani is an example for a long time investment .Coman maybe,Matiello although is our player is a long time solution but never Ogbonna.
I agree that riding the bench wouldn't help you to improve your form but although he was a member of a national team he was never good.He is slow, bad positioning average technique. etc... .

I still can't believe certain people were saying Sabatini was a better transfer director than Marotta.

Sabatini't last 6 signings:

Yanga-Mbiwa, Iturbe, Astori, Manolas, Ibarbo, Doumbia...

This winter transfer window, signing an injured Ibarbo, and an out-of-form and injury prone Doumbia. Great work.

I almost forgot that.

I can't believe they loaned out Destro, 23 years old, who scored 24 goals in 57 matches or 3160 minutes (35 full matches equivalent) in Serie A for Roma, which is one of the best goal-minutes played ratio in Serie A over the last 3 years by any forward. 1 goal every 131 minutes played. And Sabatini replaced him with Doumbia.

People will like Sabatini more simply because he takes a chance on flair and fancy, especially South Americans. That's ok for Roma and Palermo, those teams have an identity built around those sort of players (Palermo more so in the last 10 years). They also have an identity of not winning anything.

Still blocked from the allegri thread so I will go ahead an post my allegri comment here:

[allegri] Great subs yesterday, love that our pepe sub made an impact even if it was an accidental assist. He didn't waste anytime making moves with an early double sub of all things. He knew Sass was parking the bus and made some fresh changes. Kudos to the man for getting us an 11 point lead. Hope he rests people in the next match. He has probably a good vibe considering we have a cushion in case we slip up against palermo.

looking forward to seeing how he handles Dybala & Co. while resting players. [allegri/quote]
