The Parma striker hopes to partner the two Roma players in the national team as Italy prepares to face Scotland on Saturday night for the World Cup qualifiers.
Alberto Gilardino admitted that he could have been a Roma player this season but the deal did not materialize. However, the prolific striker now hopes that he can partner the talented duo in the Italian national team.

“They are two champions; it would be nice to play with them. In summer I was close to move to Roma but in the end everything fell through. Now we have met in the national team.”

The Parma striker was especially full of praise towards the young Giallorosso forward.

“He (Cassano) is a genius. I know him since the Under 15 days and it seems to me that he is better than before. Playing with him and Totti would be a dream.”

Giladrdino won't move to a weak club as long as he's young plus he is looking forward to win a championship (scudetto-CL). he's saying that just to pay attention to big clubs in italy (juve-milan) Hey ( i am here) and i guess Milan will win him as long as crespo & tomasson are not enough for milan !
