I still can't help myself laughing about what Moggi said about Mesto...

The ex-director general reserved his most barbed comments for the claims that Salvatore Racalbuto booked Reggina full-back Giandomenico Mesto in the game against Messina so that he would be suspended for the next match with Juve.

“I read that story and fell about laughing. Please – imagine how we were quaking in our boots at the thought of Mesto coming to Turin…”

@tonykart: I dont think we'll finish in the top 4 with your squad, 2 DMC lack pace and creativity so that we still rely too much on Nedved and Camoranesi, i dont see any reserve player can cover their position, about the strikers, Alex doesnt have the ability to play at the top class level anymore while Palladino isnt proved. With your squad, 6th or 7th position is reasonable

completely agree, its a weak squad with no versatility (playing-style wise), no creativity and very little threat plus it relies FAR to heavily on our aging players, who next year wont be able to start and finish a majority of the games, and if we get key player injuries, bye bye!

inter, milan, roma, lazio and fiorentina would be much stronger than us with that squad

I think it is a goog signing . Good player, not expencice & Very versatile.
Ihink he can play on the bot side positions, midfield & back, left or right...

Creativity... hmm. That is a cute word. As far as our aging players go... that is who we have and we aren't going to be replacing them this year. Sorry... those are the facts. I have not heard mention on these forums, or in the news about Juventus looking for a deep lying striker or an attacking midfielder that could sub for Del Piero.

As far as the squad not being versitile... I just don't get that one at all. Perhaps you were on a role.

well i wouldnt call creativity a cute word but if thats what your into then why not?

no1 mentioned replacing the aging players, but a little thing like alternates wouldnt go a miss; for example malouda for nedved and huntelaar for ADP.

and you say you havent heard links of attacking midfielders: Diego, Pato, Ribery, Sneijder, Van Der Vaart
and forwards: Saviola, Iaquinta :yuck:, Guily, Berbatov, Bianchi.....

one from each position above (except iaquinta) along with a dm and 2 defenders is all we need, i say all but thats 5 new players and thats IF we keep all of our current squad...

I read his value would be 7Million €, but we will lower it by sending some youngsters on loan to Reggina.

Mike "da" don...

maybe since you are such a brilliant observer or talent and Juventus' needs, you should go work for the club. Or, maybe you could just keep posting fantasy women on your avatar while you sit in your dungeon and collect pimples.

Diego, Pato, Ribery... get real. Let's try and stick with folks we may have a chance at getting.

BTW, did we ever get a link with berbatov? He is an excellent player. Couldn't fill in DP's role, but would love to see him on Juve.

If we pick up Huntelaar then Bianchi would be a waste of money. I would love to see Bianchi on Juventus, but perhaps next year would be best. Between the players on our current roster and the acquisition of Mesto, we wouldn't need to spend money on another SM.

We are obviously not exactly raking in the big timers and I have a hard time beleiving that any foreign players truly want to wear our Jersey right now. Our best bet is to same some money this time and spend big next year. We need to prove that Juventus will be back by fielding a competetive squad next year before we can start bringing in the big names again.

Mesto in means Camo And/or Marchionni are gone I suppose. I don't like this at all. I've always said that the more players we buy, themore likely we will fail to get a top 4 position in Serie A. we should get 3-4 players MAX, and make them KEY PLAYER signings, not rotation ones like Mesto
