Fast and Furious is stupid.
Nah, John Paul II was pretty mainstream and well liked. I don't know why they hate him. The arrogance and entitlement is part of his persona. It is why the show is funny and works. Personally I sort of lost interest the last few years and I think Top Gear was past its prime anyway.

The only pope I've witnessed actually being mainstream popular is Francis.
And while his "haters" are even more ridiculous, Clarkson does seem rather arrogant and entitled.

Lol, dont even care enough to dislike him, just acknowledge he has said enough things to be viewed like this, like he enjoys being perceived as such, often flaunts his ignorance and prejudices, who knows maybe is just a natural douchebag. Thats things unrelated to the show too (and his public persona of the common loud idiot). For whats related to the show, his contract isnt renewed because he got violent and really abusive with a collegue.

Close, but not quite. Facebook is a time suck. Fast & Furious are pretty much gayness. Clarkson has made millions off of people encouraging him to be a public douchebag.
And, well, I liked JP2. I got about 3 meters from him once -- though not close enough to stab him.

Paul Walker is getting a disproportionate amount of posthumous love. That happens with actors. Heath Ledger went for years as just another young actor until he offed himself on drugs, at which point we were "robbed of the next Marlon Brando".
But I give Walker credit in that he did legitimately seem like a guy who tried to make the lives of those around them and the world better, which is more than I can say for 95% of his ilk. Clarkson is a blood-sucking vampire on the public by comparison.

Oh that is true, but for some reason I dont take the BS he says on the show seriously, I just presume he plays up the common generalizing infantile idiot for tongue in cheek entertainment factor. But he commentates on social matters and political ones in similar manner outside his work, and thats truly something to judge him on when its in more serious setting.
