Exactly. There's nothing new with reality in that aspect. At least comics tell better stories. And if you look at the fan following, it's clearly captivating a large audience.

My point is that instead of complaining about why we need to read stories about people in tights, try to look at the emotional need that it caters to in its audience. Maybe then you'll see why done people like it.
I see that, much like I see why people freaked out about the nuclear age gave us Godzilla. But what I don't see is the attachment to men in tights.

The real story is thus why society has such a need to identify with a gay masquerade party.

Bruce Willis movies -- even Liam Neeson in the Taken flicks -- do fine as the omnipotent superhero without having to resort to men in Garanimals.

@David_LYNCH) April 5, 2015 I love the world of Twin Peaks and wish things could have worked out differently.
@David_LYNCH) April 5, 2015 After 1 year and 4 months of negotiations, I left because not enough money was offered to do the script the way I felt it needed to be done. — David Lynch

@David_LYNCH) April 5, 2015 Dear Twitter Friends, Showtime did not pull the plug on Twin Peaks. — David Lynch

@David_LYNCH) April 5, 2015 Original story: There’s no official word yet, but reports are coming out of WonderCon in Anaheim that the revival of David Lynch’s 'Twin Peaks” has been canceled.

Damn... talk about a literal no show.

He died, like so many young men of his generation, he died before his time. In your wisdom, Lord, you took him, as you took so many bright flowering young men at Khe Sanh, at Langdok, at Hill 364

:D
Sounds like something I would read in catch - 22.

This will be Uthred (he'll need to blond the fook up hehe):

Alfred the great:

As BBC America’s The Last Kingdom begins filming, the ensemble cast that will be populating 9th-century Britain has been announced.

American Horror Story’s Alexander Dreymon leads the cast as the hero Uhtred. Born to a Saxon nobleman, Uhtred is orphaned and then raised by the Vikings. With his new family, Uhtred has witnessed the Vikings dominate all of England, save for the Kingdom of Wessex. Uhtred will navigate both sides of the war, determining where his true allegiance lies and what role he will play in the country’s future.

Dreymon is joined by Rutger Hauer, Ripper Street’s David Dawson, Emily Cox, Matthew Macfadyen, Ian Hart, Tobias Santelmann, Thomas W. Gabrielsson, and several other actors in the principal cast.

Dawson will play King Alfred the Great, the king of Wessex who has protected his kingdom as the sole area having resisted the Viking threat—making it, as the title suggests, the last kingdom.

Filming is underway for the first eight-episode series. Kingdom promises to stay rooted in historical fiction—so don’t expect dragons to rain fire down upon Wessex any time soon. But writer Stephen Butchard has plenty of material to pull from: Based on Bernard Cowell’s The Saxon Stories book series, Kingdom has eight novels on which to base future series.

Let's give it a try though I am used and really like the Ragnar of Vikings. Will be hard to see a different one.
Thats true, but this actor was great in Kon tiki, and has the looks and acting chops. More importantly, BBC >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> History Channel :)

Epic. Can't wait to see that.

I'm glad Vikings did amazing which is pushing for other things to come out. Vikings movie is coming out soon too, no? Hopefully it has success cause we'd see tons of stuff coming out after that.
