Juventus to scout Arsenal's Gael Clichy in France-Croatia friendly - report

Scouts of struggling Serie A giants Juventus will visit the international friendly between France and Croatia to have a look at Arsenal defender Gael Clichy.

Struggling Serie A giants Juventus are continually being linked with a move for Arsenal defender Gael Clichy, but la Vecchia Signora apparently aren't convinced yet that the France international is the right man for them.

Recent reports suggested that the Italian side have already held talks with Arsenal to discuss a possible transfer, but Tuttosport reports that Juve want to see Clichy live in action one more time before making a move.

Scouts of the Turin-based outfit will visit the international friendly between France and Croatia on Tuesday evening to further assess the left-back.

Juventus were after the stopper's signature in the summer of 2010, but a transfer never materialised and they eventually signed Armand Traore on a one-year loan deal instead.

The 25-year-old is reportedly looking for a new challenge and Arsenal could be tempted to cash in on him if an offer in the region of €15 million comes in.

Clichy has made well over 150 official appearances for Arsenal since joining the Gunners from Cannes in the summer of 2003.

So those Melo - Clichy swap deals should be rampant over the summer again. I'd take him but not for 15m, for 10/12m bring him on.

He's gone backwards in the last 2 years, I still remember when he was considered one of the best left back in the league, now he's not even the best left back in London. Would be great for Juve, maybe a change of scene could help him regain his old form.

hope fred will have the time to write some lines about him..
Lol, I remember how some 2 years ago Fred was convincing me that Clichy is the best LB in the world.

If I bother, I could make a 30 minute video of the idiotic mistakes he made that led to a goal. This guy sucks.

He's never taken the step from being a promising 21 year to being a good player.

    He just has pace.

Makes silly defensive errors and isn't a good crosser.

    Be better off resigning Molinaro.
