Nobody knows what he would do here. Granted he did not have a great time in Rome but he had them playing the best football in the league. Everyone masturbates over Wenger but he is Englands Spalletti, Arsenal play good football but have not won anything since 5 years ago. Yet everyone wants Wenger here strange.
How did Spalletti completely revolutionize a football club or league?

How many trophies has Spalletti won compared to Wenger?

Does Spalletti have a natural talent for spotting excellent youth prospects?

Difference is Wenger has won major trophies & he has an excellent track record fwith young players. Arsenal haven't won anything due to financial constraints(have you forgot about their stadium?),Chelsea came in with major financial clout & Man Utd have always had massive funds available to compete for the EPL.Also they've had to sell major stars in order to balance books.

Kind funny how you highlight Arsenal playing good football & that they haven't won anything in 5yrs but you suggest Spalletti is in Wengers mould, Serie A wise.:howler:

Try putting Alex Ferguson in Wengers place, let Arsenal and Chelsea spend 50M+ every season, and we'll see how the worlds best manager himself copes with that. I bet he won't win anything either.

Its no surprise that in the season where Chelsea and United are having financial difficulties and didn't spend much in the summer, Arsenal caught up with them and are now competing for the title.

Chelsea spent nowhere near 50 million this season, and their team has aged alot. Manchester United lost their best player who chipped in with 40 odd goals and assisted a hell of alot. Perhaps that might explain it.

He did wonders with Udinese and placed a bottom Roma on the top of the league when he came.

Arsenal is much stronger than Roma.

Does Spalletti have a natural talent for spotting excellent youth prospects?
Does Wenger? Arsenal is 95% of the time buying well known kids for a great amount of money and they didn't discover many talents at all.

Oh so you want to play that game. Well then maybe we didn't win a title last season because we had lost Hleb and Flamini, two pivotal players in our midfield, maybe we didn't win anything the season before that because we sold one of the best players in our history, Thierry Henry. As for the season before that, maybe its because we sold the best leftback in the country Ashley Cole, finally the first season of our drought was probably because we sold our captain and best midfielder Patrick Vieira.

Alex Ferguson is better than Wenger.

Anywho, it's not the cost of the players it's the inexperience that's the problems, players like Nasri and Bendtner aren't experienced enough to grab a team and pull it up from a bad position in a game. There are types of experience that only a senior, trophy winning player can provide. It's all well and good saying Song has played for X years when he hasn't had somebody to steward him into a better player. Arshavin will have the Arsenal AMs get better and better all Wenger needs is a proven CB that's doesn't bomb forward every 5 seconds and a Strong Midefield presence in mental experience terms.

    A fast striker wouldn't hurt.

Yeah because it's not as if they made post repayment profits or anything.....
Yes & that's enough to completely change the outlook of the team & bring in much needed quality, experienced players.

Also when David Dein was Arsenal chairman he really had Wenger covered & gave him unconditional support. Kinda weird how things changed for the worst when he left.

Thats bullshit, name me a known talent we bought these past few years other than Nasri??

Was Adebayor known before he came to Arsenal, mind you when we bought him he wasn't even that good in the Ligue. How about Sagna? I'm sure you were aware of his talent before he came to Arsenal. Flamini? He was a world class talent before he came and played for us and shut players like Kaka out of the game. Vermaelen? I'm sure you expected him to have this monster season too. What about Song? You must have been well acquainted to him while he was at Bastia. Lets not forget Clichy, i bet you were watching his games week in week out when he was at the Ligue 3, ey?

Finally some sense. Dein's departure was one of the biggest blows dealt to this club ever. I'm sure Arsene agrees with that.

Then one has to question Wengers judgement if he sells such influential players then, difference being Wenger considered those players to be not good enough anymore.

It's possible but very difficult to get a cheap quality experienced player
It's impossible to get a cheap quality 17 year old experienced player.

Let's not forget that Vermaelen was £10M, that could have landed Hangeland or similar but Wenger wants youth regardless of finnancial pressure.

Nasri was 15.8 M aswell, finnancial constraints my cock
