Capello would be a wicked choice...He is exactly what we need. But his arrival is contingent, totally, on two factors...

Firstly. either my beloved comrade and King, Rooney gets injured during or prior to the world cup...OR..he is not enough to carry the team at least to the semis.

and secondly...we have the plan, the money, the allure to the players needed...for fabio to believe that he can take us back to the top, swiftly.

This is the best england team I have ever seen. No small part of this is down to Capello. It must be said that several key players are peaking at the Right time for england. Several WORLD CLASS PLAYERS...which gives any team a decent shout. However...despite the obvious class of lampard, terry, gerrard, and the intense, cheetah like pace of Lennon and Walcott...Everything for England, depends on Rooney. I know I am in a minority when I state that he equally the best player in the world game with Messi...but I mean it. And I am happy with the nature and footballing astuteness of the minority. He is a very different kind of player to Messi, but no less dangerous or capable. If he stays fit, and the others i mentioned perform. England should reach the semis, and fabio will stay. If this doesn;t happen...and we reach only let's say the quarters at best, its not good enough, for me, for the english, likely also for fabio...as its widely accepted that this is the finest england team for many years. Shame about beckham, for despite the fact that he has no pace, he is on of very few players in the world game who can piss in a pot from 50 yards...

the second point is rather harder to play with. Because I should have added...'the Right people are in charge'. Fabio will have interest, if england fail. But his interest demands respect...as in giving him a board and a team which he can mould swiftly into serious challengers for supremacy, first at home and then abroad.

Correct, says Benitez could sign something in the next twenty days or so. Also says Benitez has been talking with a trainer at West Ham who was here at the time of Deschamps. Antonio Pintus is his name
Pintus?!?

Iirc that guy was here even during Lippi era and he used some special training methods. If that's the guy, it would be awesome because in 2002/03 we were miles ahead in a physical way comparing to almost any other team.
