A clean sheet at last, we actually played with the best defense we can field atm
and we managed to well against one of the best teams in the world.
Our team was solid at the back for a change.
Manure players imposed their game at the beginning, they were holding the ball too much and swiftly changing their game from one side to another, exactly atm one of our DMs were up to them, using brilliant crosses and finding unmarked players.
A tactic, that forced us to gather up at the midfield and defend through our center with our two bulldogs. Sissoko was iconic once again, he is not playing to impress anymore, he is playing to dominate!
Poulsen was quite good, IMO his best game with our jersey and he also showed some promise going forward with some surpisingly good crosses and through balls.
Unfortunately that wasnt enough to help us build smth helpful up front.
Only some personal drive in from Camo and DP and once Chiellini helped us create smth solid.
Our forwards were cut of once again, even by the end of the game when we used two CMs...
Amauri was dissapointing once again, he failed to create anything by his own and this is exactly why we bought him for, he still hasnt settled in and the ugly part was that he was out-muscled by some young Manure players...
i hope we didnt wasted all that money...
Iaquinta finally had a day off.
Chiellini was brilliant once again, he dominated the left flank and he intimidated any manure player that he was coming at his side, he also get involved a lot offensively and made more and better crosses, than Molinaro did in an entire season!!
Grygera was quite solid defensively too, i wouldnt dare to ask for more and i was surprise not to see him outrun by such a speedy opposition!!

We are ready for the CL qualifiers, this team is solid enough in the back and we build from there and force lesser teams to commit a mistake,
against superior teams like Manure we will need the full help of our creative players, esp Neddy and Giovinco, Salih is clearly not up to the task!

I would prefer a quality CM like Alonso, but isnt coming until x-mas.

Their best players were Scholes he was really iconic for them, defending, attacking, shooting long balls, and even threatening Buffon with headers
and then Tevez who tried to help the build up of their game, unlike Iaquinta and Amauri.

Our best player was Camo offensively our best weapon against them and Sissoko and Chiellini, the only players in our lot, physical enough to stand their ground!

Does this mean we'll buy Ivanovic to partner Mellberg and heal the Molinaro problem once and for all?
It will be very stupid to do so.
First of all, Chiellini is a great defender, classes above Molinaro. So with him at the back, on the left side, it was expected that we'll play better defense.
But if you noticed, Chiellini didn't make a single attempt to cross the ball, he was never involved in attack. What's the use of a full back if he doesn't play attack at all ?
We better play 3-5-2 then, without full backs but with three central defenders at the back.
It will be a huge mistake if we play Chiellini on the left.

If we use Chiellini anywhere else than in the center I'M GOING TO BE PISSED. He is amazing in the center.

FFS, BUY A LEFTBACK.
WORD

Poulsen was OKAY. Nothing more.
True.
He did prove again that he can play perfect defense. It will be very hard to beat us, indeed. But yeah, our offensive play will suffer because of that.

me too, everyone has shown some promise but him, Poulsen arrived much later and already seems more accommodated...
Come on, he didn't do better nor worse than the other CF's. He doesn't need to show perfect form in the friendlies. And plus, you conviniently forgot that he was our best player by far in the early friendlies.

Now i'll read Cronios' last post because i left the best for last :)

Cronios, i missed only the opening 15 minutes of the match and i didn't see Chiellini make a single cross.

Although, i might have been too harsh on Chiellini and his offensive qualities.
He had Salihamidzic on the left who is in awful form and is a RB who somehow plays a ML for Juve.
It might have been different if Nedved was there to combine with Giorgio.

Nevertheless, it is unacceptable to play Chiellini on the left. If we want to get rid of Molinaro then we should simply buy a LB, not replace him with an average LB and hurt our central defense.

Cronios, i missed only the opening 15 minutes of the match and i didn't see Chiellini make a single cross.
he made 4, 2 of them were intercepted in their box and 2 have found their target, once he stepped in their box and almost assisted someone, i think it was DP, or Camo
he also tried 2 long shoots, not very threatening though but still...
if Grygera would deliver the same from the other side, then we cant ask for more from our wing backs!
And he made a few intimidating tackles that scared away the Manure players, at the late minutes they were afraid of even attempting a cross from that flank when Chiellini was around,
if Chiellini had Neddy to support him and play a few more games, he will be back at his best as LB at no time.
IF we buy Ivanovic, with Mellberg, Knezevic and Legro we are well covered in the CBs and i would prefer Chiellini as an LB against the most difficult opponents for an extra solid defense.
At worse case scenario we have a defender who can defend, Molinaro only stares at our opponents.
I dont think its random that we only managed to pull out a clean sheet just now...

De Ceglie can do even better offensively,if CR gives him the chance,
but i would prefer this defense any day instead of a Molinaro included one, i think this is the best defense we can field at the moment and the only one who could keep a clean sheet against Man Un!

We did it against Arsenal and in the 70 minutes Molinaro played against Dortmund.

I know that you're trying to find a way to get rid of Molinaro, but this shouldn't be it. We need Chiellini in the center much more than you think.
