The only good thing for Totti si that he played for 90 minutes and thats gotta be good somehow as he was terrible , play wise. Materazzi threw himself about but how many times did he give the ball away needlessly? One of his horrendous passes led to the equalizer.
Pirlo is starting to become a serious liability, what on earth is Lippi thinking with Zaccardo? Seriously why does every manager have 1 player in their team ,we all know does not belong?
Whats Bonera doing there? Surely Pasqual is a far better player. Iaquinta now thats just for comic books .
It was a friendly and Italy never seem to take them seriously except if its against the so called big boys but I am still scratching my head as to what Lippi was trying to achieve, i am hoping he is not thinking Toni is not first choice.
I am not at ease with his choices of full backs and back up for Cannavaro and nesta.
Cannavaro was marvellous as usual, Camoranesi was erratic as usual, Dp was invisible

Why isn't Del Piero wearing number 10 for Italy? Totti does not deserve it.
it can't be avoided in football.DP wore Baggio's number 10 jersey in the 98 World Cup,Totti's wearing it now,and someone will steal it from Totti in the next tournaments.

Well, it is clear if Zaccardo plays any games in the WC, our right side will be seriously raped. But because of Lippi's stubborness in not convoking Panucci (not the ideal choice, but clearly the best there is for Italy in that position), we risk looking like fools.

what about Oddo?

I don't rate Oddo higher then Panucci, but he is a MUCH better player than Zaccardo without doubt! After he came on last night, the Swiss were no longer a threat on our right.

That will be Pazzini

I'd go for Rafaelle palladino :p
I wouldn't mind both but Pazzini clearly showed what he could do at a younger age. Especially the goal he scored on us in 04-05 season. Simply beautiful  :D

i dont understand this negativism around here after this game.

first it was friendly, it was played in switzerland, they are a solid team. 6 substitutions was made. its a game to try things out. yes i am sad about injurys but as a game, its the last time to test things. ok it didnt work out well, but thats why friendlys are there, to try differant tactics. for example, lets say lippi would have used tactics like against germany and italy would have maybe won 2:0 or something but imagine if toni or gila would get injured when the tournament really starts, then it would totally f-ck up things. thats why he makes those subs right now, so we would not rely on one attacking duo.

Also add to that, totti played his first real game after a long time, so it was obvious he wouldnt be as fit as usually. but right now is the time to play him, he needs to play to improve and get back to his best form. yeah i understand there isnt much time left, but if he dont play now, then when will he?

also zambro and nesta where missing, starting players

calm down fellows

Can anyone explain me how the hell is Bonera in the team???

He wasn't at the previous list of the players...there are 23 players registered for the WC and he wasn't registered.
