Gallas agrees Juve contract? Thursday 17 June, 2010

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Juventus are reportedly on the verge of signing Arsenal’s William Gallas on a two-year contract.

The defender looks set to abandon renewal talks with the Gunners and will therefore be a free agent from the end of this month.

He’ll turn 33 in the summer and is a target for several sides, but Juve appear to be in pole position.

Roma and Paris Saint-Germain are showing an interest in the French World Cup star.

According to Tuttosport, Juve have offered Gallas a two-year contract that could be made official at the start of next week.

the whole french team looks like a bunch of clowns. anyway, i thought we were trying to sign young promising players. the only case i would like gallas here is if our board has something really big for us. and of course we should sign also a young player besides him...

Well maybe we get himand also some young promising outside backs. Not everyone we buy has to be young. The problem is if we get all old defenders and go through this same crap every year of a whole new defense to surround Chiellini

I don't want him here; 3 years too late. I don't see what this numbskull can bring. Add to that the fact that he is a whiner and prone to throwing hissy fits; I see no reason in getting him.

I don't think it's fair to judge these French players on their performances at the World Cup now. Everyone would be shit with Domenech in charge, they don't even care, and they're not even close to being a team. There's something really wrong with that French side.

    Agree.

And getting Gallas for free is not a bad deal. And we will sign Bonucci aswell.

You do have a point here. But when exactly is it fair to judge a player?

We shouldn't judge the French players based on these performances.
We shouldn't judge Krasic based on what he did so far at the WC.
One shouldn't judge Pienaar based on his performances at the WC.
    ...

Should we only judge the players when they're performing well?
