sorry...did you said USED to be VERY good at hockey? come on dude, korea just learnt how to play hockey in couple years back, compare to Malaysia, Malaysia has a better history than korea
Dude, get ur facts straight before you talk...

Korean men's and women's teams work very well together, and they've had good results. In the 2000 Sydney Olympics, the Korean men's team made it to the gold medal final and drew with Holland 3-3 before losing on penalties.

Korea beat Malaysia 2-0 in the semi-finals of the 2002 Asian games and went on to win the gold medal, with a goal difference of +17 in the group stages, while Malaysia could only manage +1

In the Afro-Asian 2003 games Korea also beat Malaysia 2-1 and ended up coming third in the tournament

Another victory came against Malaysia, winning 4-1 in the Azlan Shah Cup

Along the way, there have been many noteable victories, including giving Great Britain their biggest beating in history, winning 5-1 to win the Super Cup... just to name one.

And let's not forget that Korea beat Germany in the Azlan Shah less than 2 weeks ago, while Malaysia couldn't overcome Spain.

So allow me to correct my first post: Korea didn't used to be good at hockey, they are good.

Oh come on, Holland won the Olympics final on penalties :frown:

I was just proving a point, because Sidz totally ridiculed and undermined the Korean team's ability

when I mean history I meant as in HISTORY, back in the days, in 1978, Malaysia play in the WC hockey and almost reach the final until we got beaten by India:groan:, we were 4th at that time tournament, well you're right bout Korea, they ARE good, but only recently, they beat pakistan in Asia cup and become the champ of that tournament, what I'm trying to say is Malaysia should have got to a much higher level than the koreans, but our player dont have enough mental endurance:down:

All the more reason to be proud! Considering Holland's performance record on penalties in ANY sport! :strong:

It's not in our mentality. The Dutch way of thinking is too relaxed, ("it's just sports anyway"). We're not cold blooded killers, if you will.
