Problems with the coach and the contract situation.
Yeah I knew that, but I thought they would have kept him outside of the squad. Instead they're still having him on the bench and using him sometimes. If you're trying to make a point you might as well go all the way?

He won't be going anywhere in January.
He could be very well stay put, but we'll see in February. Even with the 40 million euros Athletic gained from the Javi sale, 7 million euros for Llorente is still 7 million times better than nothing. Given the current financial climate in Spain, that sort of money is'nt something to balk at.

They would rather have a great sub for a year, than 6-7 mil.

You never gonna know if Aduriz is gonna be injured. Toquero isn't really the best sub.

Athletic is one of the most healthy club in Spain. If not the most. They doesn't own anything to anyone.

Aduriz much better :D . He might fit better into the retarded tactics of Bielsa, but he's nowhere near as good as Llorente.
He is scoring more than Llorente scored in his best season. And this season Athletic is half the team it was last season. That's what I call be better

and that's his best season so far.

    Llorente scored 30 last season.

I must be missing some stats here.

Fair enough. With their very specific criteria for players, finding a replacement for a Llorente, especially with the dwindling number of basque players, will be difficult. I suppose it will come down to balancing the importance of their sporting needs versus their finances.

Are'nt they sitting mid table in La liga? Their could be a real chance that they miss out on the European spots for next season, sans a loss of revenue.

Thats still hard cash they're turning down. Financially, they might be a in a position that allows them to do that, but at the end of the day they still make a loss.
