he's spanish well that and compounding the fact hes played his whole career in a mediocre club(that i hate so maybe that has something to do with it). I just think this deal has too many question marks.

Bilbao are actually, to my mind at least not a bad club to go to a big club from.

Play at a decent level, experienced a fair number of big games, it's a club I imagine is subject to a lot of scrutiny and pressure from the local press and that he has an attachment to the club is likely to mean he will have felt that pressure more than he would have if he'd just been at any old team.

And the Spanish thing doesn't apply here, I don't think, because Llorente is a distinctly un-Spanish type of player.

Still have my doubts on this move, i rate Llorente highly and thinks he's a great stiker, my only concers if he'll fit in a juve style of play.

The pace and intensity Bilbao played with last season probably mean he'll have less of a tactical adjustment to make than most strikers Juve have looked at.

Llorente is a really good target man who could still make a great contribution to a team even if he only scored 10 goals in a season.

That he can score 20+ in addition to being a target man is what makes him such a good player.

Not very good at doing either of those things. That means he will struggle to fit in while in Serie A.

Truth be told, I hope Llorente stays in La Liga because the league needs to keep its stars. I'd be more pleased to see stars brought in to Serie A from the EPL instead of helping that shite league build more of a fan base n earn more money by poaching players from other leagues.

I don't rate him that high, he is by no mean the top striker that I assumed we would be signing this summer. He may give us a new dimension which is scoring with headers that we obviously lacked last season, we have like a million corner last year and we barely threat with them.
But still he is too static to be at juve with this tactic IMO.

how do you figure? and about pressure, one can also argue, that since he was 'home' and his club insisted on only basque players would make him more at ease. At any rate i ll take your word on this one, though i still have my doubts.
