no, if its the case this is some kind of end of Juve, no more glories no more dignities, everything must start from zero.

a die hard fan like me will feel shame that our team fail to fight till the end and lose the motivation to support a team was used to fight aginst the whole world.

Sometimes you have to accepted you are wrong and be a man/woman and take the punishement. Which is what imho should do, take whatever they can throw and come back next year to take the title right back off inter.

/p.s im not preachin/

I do admit that "who make mistake must pay" theory, but the point is they gave a death penalty to a guy who only deserves fines.

:faq1: are we still living in stone age or a civil world?

The punishment should fit the crime and "if" we did cheat, then we deserve relagation.

Im pleased we got of without being relagted to serie c and hugely fined.

I'm sorry, but this "punishment" that the rest of the clubs are facing compared to us FOR THE SAME CRIME, cannot be further apart

while Milan fights for CL glory, and the scudetto, we are concerned if we can even get ourselves out of B in 1 season with a 17 point penalty

go ahead and lie down and accept what godfather DON Rossi is doing, but the rest of us wont

I am getting to hate our board if they don't continue to TAR. Players fought with their blood and sweat, and they easily give up that thing. They should feel ashamed.

Juventus attempt to cut a deal

30/08/2006: Juventus might drop their appeal against a match-fixing ruling that demoted them to Serie B in exchange for a lesser penalty, a source close to the Italian club said this evening.

Dropping the appeal could clear the way for the start of the Serie A season, which has been delayed by two weeks to September 9th as Juve appeal to a civil court against a sports tribunal's ruling that sent them down to Serie B with a 17-point penalty.

An accord between Juventus, the Italian Football Federation and the Italian Olympic Committee could be based on a reduction in the penalty points, the source explained. Details have not been worked out.

The possible agreement followed a meeting today between Juve chairman Giovanni Cobolli Gigli, Olympic Committee President Gianni Petrucci and federation head Guido Rossi. The Turin club's board could decide the matter in a meeting scheduled for tomorrow.

In July, a sports tribunal hearing the match-fixing case stripped Juventus of their last two titles and put them in second tier Serie B with the points penalty. Juve have argued that the punishment is too harsh.

Three other clubs caught up in the scandal - AC Milan, Fiorentina and Lazio - kept their top-flight Serie A status, but with points penalties.

I totally agree that the way we have been treated in relation to the other clubs is unfair and totally disproportionate. But we cant appeal to get their sentences increased.

And if they havent promoted us by now, i doubt they will keep delaying everything, all we could hope for is a point reduction.

Juve to make TAR U-turn Thursday 31 August, 2006

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Juventus are set to scrap their Calciopoli appeal to the civil courts with the club’s board of directors ready to ratify the decision on Thursday.

President Giovanni Cobolli Gigli met FIGC commissioner Guido Rossi and CONI chief Gianni Petrucci in Rome on Wednesday where it seems that the Old Lady have been persuaded to reject the TAR Lazio route.

“It was an important meeting between Juventus and football’s governing bodies,” noted Cobolli Gigli.

“The board of directors will now evaluate the situation, but I believe there is a good chance that the club will decide to return within the sporting justice system.”

Juventus, who were demoted to Serie B and handed a 17-point deduction for this season, failed in their conciliation meeting in front of CONI two weeks ago.

They then threatened to take their case to the civil courts, but now look likely to opt for a CONI arbitration hearing in an effort to get their point deduction reduced.

The FIGC and FIFA had both warned Juventus that they could face further sanctions if they went ahead with a civil action.

“Juventus are aware of what we think, we have not changed our mind and will not change it in the future,” added Rossi.

“At the time being I am neither optimistic nor pessimistic, I only believe that the club must remain within sporting justice, that is the only way to solve this issue.”

CONI President Petrucci mirrored Rossi’s stance. “I hope the club immediately decides to go to arbitration,” he stated.

“I believe that sporting justice is autonomous and self-sufficient and this kind of problem must be solved within its jurisdiction.”

Reports suggest that Juventus may obtain the cancellation of the additional sanctions – a three-match home ban and a 120,000 Euros fine - and see their point-deficit reduced, maybe to 10 or seven points.

However, there seems to be no margins of argument for the 2005-06 Scudetto to be reassigned to the Bianconeri.

I'll be very disappointed in our current board if they decide to drop the appeal. I can only assume it's because they fear an even stricter penalty but all they should really be concerned about is the name, honor and reputation of our club, which is now somewhat tarnished, and will be remembered for many years to come as 'crooked' by the rest of the sporting world, but only after the outcome of a very strange trial. They should've fought these decisions till the end!!
We supporters fight for and represent our club every day and I for one feel very let down by Cobolli Gigli & Co now..
