For the people who experience divine intervention, God exists, and whenever they say God exists they can't be considered idiots, due to the fact that they have experienced this to be true first-hand. Just because you haven't been so fortunate yourself and then decide to label believers "idiots", it should be clear who is ignorant.
have you experienced divine intervention ?
If you haven't then just keep in mind that you are talking about something you know nothing about .

And YES , i do label believers as idiots . i label people who don't like to use logic and reason but only use blind faith . I don't label christians as idiots because there are many christians who are very reasonable and logical .

People who acknowledge jesus with their lips but simply deny him with their lifestyle are the idiots .

I was never a religious person, per say, but once I was in a very serious accident, and I found it unexplainable that I came from it unscratched. So what I did, I went to this local religious community and I prayed with them, and then I bailed. I don't know what to believe, personally, but I don't think we should label believers "idiots". And I mean that. It's a beautiful thing, when something unexplainable happens which you can regard as divine intervention.

There are many stories simmilar to yours , and are extremely miraculous .
i agree , it is a beautiful thing .
The point im trying to make here is that believers are usually people who refuse to widen their perspective , but instead simply believe .

I will refuse to make up my own mind untill i have read the bible and what contradicts it . Only then will i make up my mind . I also think that there is no such thing as an "absolute truth " , i think it's very childish to think that something can be labeled as "true" or "false" .

The people who bother me are the " believers " who claim that they know the absolute truth and that everything else is false without even considering the different point of views . That is why I label them as ignorant .

the religious people i have met are the worst hypocrits i have ever seen. im not talking about people who just go to church occasionaly but im talking about people who talk about religion all day and take it far to seriously. religion can be nice as it helps people and alot of good can come out of it. but sadly some people use religion as an excuse for horrible acts such as wars and killings. religion is just to much of a tool for exploitation of the poor and desperate people, it just sickens me.

For anyone to claim that he knows for sure that christianity is true/untrue just shows how much of an idiot he really is .
The burden of proof isn't on the unbelievers.

Folks, religious threads generally descend into flamewars, so be warned - this thread will be kept on a very tight leash.
