However it must be said that he is still too young to completely give up on him, you can see hints of him maybe becoming something more but he is also playing in a rather dysfunctional system with questionable quality of players around him, perhaps as mentioned before a full season on loan somewhere with less pressure could help him grow because atm he is only stagnating here.
