The problem we have with the 5-3-2 is we have no creativity other than Pirlo. The strikers either do flick ons or Llorente holds the ball up, thats not really going to trouble a decent defence and certainly wont make many good goal scoring chances. We have no counter attack even though we play a lot of the game in our own half that in itself makes no sense. Tevez cant score in Europe it is a pretty well known fact on this forum. Llorente seems like he is the best option we have for goals as our wing play is non existent really.
Cant rely on Vidal + Pogba to score all our goals for us or make the chances we just dont have the attacking players to take the game to the other teams in Europe. In other words we have a pussy team in terms of attacking play.
But that line up clearly shows that we care for this competition, at least more than we did for Coppa Italia. Btw almost missed it as I was for some reason convinced it'll be played later this evening and made all plans accordingly. Luckily I checked this thread.
Vidal, Licht and Asamoah, those are only 3 starters that are missing, out of those available atm of course. Even Buffon is playing tonight, unlike in Coppa games.
