That is true, but the players have changed also quite a bit in time.

They lost to Russia in 2018
They lost to Italy in 2021
They lost to Moroco in 2022

It doesnt quite work like that. But Spain doesnt have anything to lose anymore. They already are a weaker XI and if they go out its because the coach subbed half of his starting XI out before 90 minute. Spain coach literally subbed his core off.

It reminds me ironically when Bayern took Musiala and Kane off against Real with 10 minutes to go, two of their best players. Then Real scored last minute of normal time 1-1. And then 2-1 before extra time.
