When Srna whispered to Subasic what to do on Ramos' penalty... apparently it was Modric who told Srna what to expect from Ramos, and then Srna said the same to Subasic.
Lol at Ramos for doing the expected and not realizing that Modric tipped him off.

Why blame conte? Not like he did anything to make his team win. Not like the goal was some brillant play that has been meticulously prepared in training.
He should have screamed at Eder "no goal, no goaaaaal".

Isnt screaming one of his strengths after all?

wow what a loser's mentality, to want to lose on purpose! This is for real ??
Not lose on purpose, rest all your starters since you already progressed and lose because of that

Why Ramos even was shooting the pk is the biggest mystery here

The teams I want to win:

1) Italy
2) Croatia
3) Poland

Not counting teams super unlikely to win like Iceland and Northern Ireland. :D
Everyone in this half can dream about the final.
Belgium, Portugal, Croatia are the favorites. But Poland are good, Wales too. Even Switzerland can dream.
Poland is impressive as well.

Looking like a Poland-Croatia QF if both teams surpass their Ro16 games.
:touched:

Getting out of the group is a great success for us already, even if 16/24 teams advance. :D After all we got same number of points as reigning World Champion. Our first 11 is quite nice and balanced, unfortunately not so much options on the bench. This might be a problem in the next stage but i'm optimistic, Switzerland definitely seems beatable. If we go through, Croatia might be out of our reach tho. :D Maybe if Lewandowski eats his gluten-free pies and finds his scoring shoes... :D

Btw how random is that Russell cheers for us. @Bianconero_Aus :D

Del Bosque: “We have a number of penalty takers and the most confident takes it. It’s an option during the game and not for the Coach to intervene.”

But I think the fucker is going for the ballon d'or. He captained Real to the CL and scored the goal in the final. With Cassilas on the bench, he's captaining Spain and if they won the group they'd have had an easy road to the final. Every goal counts for a defender, and he wanted to show his leadership with this penalty.
If he wins the EL in the same season he won the CL, captains both and scores important goals in both competitions, he might stand a chance, with some good PR and people getting tired of Messi and Ronaldo winning it every year.

It didn't go well for him tonight :D

lol at Del Bosque for saying that, thats BS, you give the penalty to your best taker in important games, and lol for even allowing it, no authority at all after coaching them for 8 years. with guys like Fabregas, Iniesta, Morata, Silva there, there is no way id let him shoot.

What you said about the balon dor makes sense, CL + Euros would give him good chances, but I think he would still come short, too many Messi and Ronaldo voters out there :D

Italy vs Spain is so predictable. Italy will play defensive while Spain will pass the ball in their own half the whole game.

0-0 after extra time, Spain to win on penalties (they always do).
I actually think Italy have a decent chance this time. They are due a win against Spain in a major tournament. And Spain are still a great team, but they don't look the same unstoppable force that they did 4-6 years ago. And Italy's 3-5-2 is the perfect system to counter tiki-taka. If only they had Verratti and Marchisio available to further beef up that midfield.

:agree: Unless Ronaldo really gets his shit together it seems like Messi is going to win again.
