That was fantastic turn, control, and assist by Moutinho on the 2nd goal. He's one guy I was hoping we could get before the Euro started.

Moutinho had a decent game. Bosingwa and Pepe impressed me most. Ronaldo was good but not outstanding.

Good first day of the Euros. Looking forward to tomorrow, Croatia especially.

Awwwww, Pepe. Got it the second time around. :D

And Bosingwa... not only thrilled to be out of Porto for the CL next year, but damn he shut everything down in his corner. Badass.

Still, Ronaldo gets my MOM. Really created a lot off the ball that was pivotal to the win. I expect him to be shut down by Switzerland's play style on Tuesday, however.

No-No Goles 0 - 2 The Post

turkey was really dismal today and portugal looked vulnerable in the back
Some sloppy set pieces in the second half, and Paulo Ferriera was a complete liability. In fact, he seems to have luckily made it longer in Euro 2008 so far than he did in all of Euro 2004, when he created Greece's first goal and got yanked permanently for Miguel.

That was fantastic turn, control, and assist by Moutinho on the 2nd goal. He's one guy I was hoping we could get before the Euro started.
At first I was thinking Moutinho should have taken the shot, but he was completely off-balance. Was a great heads-up kick out in the end. I do love that midget. He's like Portugal's twin to Giovinco in some of those short-midfielder ways. ;)

I guess Turks are out already. It is very hard for them to beat Switzerland home, and Czech isn't easy to beat. I believe Portugal is so overrated, but these 3 points was a big prize by Turks, which will let them qualify..

Well if we're going to base it solely on last night's performance alone, Turkey is better than Czech Rep. Swiss played well, so Switzerland - Turkey should be interesting.

Switzerland-Turkey should be a good game indeed. Neither team is defensive in nature so I expect a good open contest.

The Czechs didn't impress me at all today and I don't expect them to go far in the tournament. Without Rosicky and Nedved their midfield is really average and Koller and Baros aren't the players they used to be. They've been potential dark horses in previous tournaments but not this time around.

I'm looking forward to watching Croatia (yeah I know, I'm a broken record). When I've seen them play they move the ball well and they get players forward to good effect. If Kranjcar and Modric are on song Austria will be in for a much harder test than their co-hosts faced against the Czechs.

Nice game from Portugal yesterday, were it not for C. Ronaldo, I would have wanted them to win the whole thing.
