yes i am sure not making it to the CL is worse than getting relegated
as a juventus fan obviously that's not what i meant. tbh, i dont think anyone will suffer as much as juventus, i think our punishments were the result of, well, to quote a certain book:

greatness inspires envy, envy engenders spite, spite spawns lies.

it is unfair yes and if juventus should suffer this kind of punishment so should anyone else who is charged with match fixing. however i highly doubt this will be the case in the future. so not taking juventus into the picture here and comparing the situation with milan instead, i dont understand why milan was allowed to play in cl when porto wasnt ? though i read somewhere it's because milan's crime was not match fixing, rather it was avoiding certain linesman, i think it's the same shit.

Yeah, I think Quaresma is Inter bound as well. I'd love to have Quaresma though, more so than Lucho. Our wingers are not exactly young. Next season Camo will be 32, Sali 32, Nedved 36, Gio 22 and Marchionni injured. Sali and Nedved don't give us the flair and creativity we need there anymore, and we don't know how Gio will handle himself. It would be great having Quaresma here. Having Camo- Quaresma on the wings would make our wings lively. Then in a few years Quaresma-Gio

Quaresma would have been a nice addition. I could see it benefitting us as well as him. Instead he'll flounder at Inter. Too bad, really.

Oh, I know full well. Still doesn't mean that Liverpool got special treatment that a club in, say, Portugal wouldn't get. If Porto won the CL in '04 and that year finished fourth in their league (given the Portuguese qualification bracket), I have no doubt we would have never seen them in the CL the following year.

Here you go.
The same source that gave the initial news admit their mistake.

I told you not to worry :D
I don't buy it. Friends in high places supercede any written rules, IMO. Just you wait for a backdoor...

greg .. //http://www.goalzz.com/main.aspx?c=414

that's the backdoor they used .. winning CL the previous ..

doesn't matter now that everything is clarified ..
It was still favoritism and wrong and an abuse of influence.

Not sure that is the correct move. They had been punished already (wether or not that punishment was ample is another issue)by the portguese football federation, you can't punish someone twice for the same crime.

That and it could set a dangerous precedent.
Not to mention that this is over transgressions that apparently happened 3-4 years ago. Sound familiar?

Let's go shopping at Porto!:)
I am not getting too jolly myself. After all, we got f*ed over just recently under similar circumstances.

Well, the Bulgarian FA made their choice. Levski will play instead of CSKA, so that's over.
Now all we need to wait is for the Portuguese to decide who'll replace Porto. It's going to be Benfica, no doubt about that.

Milan will have to look for the backdoor somewhere else.

LOL this worked out even better, they got renewed hope but only for it to be shattered. Its nice to see them suffer

Just wait. Milan is going to talk to Rui Costa, and the next thing you know they're going to officially be part of the FPF next year on an exception basis or something. I wouldn't put it past them.

Damn, will you stop it. I don't want to hear any theory that takes Milan to CL.
My heart will explode if they play champions league football next year.
