Champions' League draw:
Juventus face Real test
Friday 17 December, 2004

Juventus will play Real Madrid in the last 16 of the Champions’ League. Inter face Porto, while Milan are up against Man Utd.

Juve and Milan have been handed the toughest tests as Fabio Capello will take the Bianconeri to his former club.

While Carlo Ancelotti’s Italian champions will have to dispose of the Old Trafford outfit if they are to reach the quarter finals.

Inter will be the happiest Italian side and will be confident of beating the current Champions’ League holders Porto.

Full draw:
Real Madrid – Juventus
FC Porto – Inter
Barcelona – Chelsea
Werder Bremen – Lyon
Liverpool – Bayer Leverkusen
PSV – Monaco
Man Utd – Milan
Bayern Munich – Arsenal

Games will be played on February 22/23 and March 8/9. Inter's second leg match should be played on March 15.

Excellent! We've been given the pleasure of knocking out Real and two of Barcelona, Chelsea, Milan and Man Utd have to be eliminated! This could be our year if we avoid injuries and bad refereeing decisions!

FC Porto – Inter Inter shouldn't have much trouble

Barcelona – Chelsea I'll take chelsea-I think they are a broader team

Werder Bremen – Lyon Lyon, I suppose

Liverpool – Bayer Leverkusen Leverkusen, unfortunately

PSV – Monaco no idea

Man Utd – Milan Milan should win

Bayern Munich – Arsenal could go either way

I think it is:
Juventus
Milan
PSV
Chelsea
Lyon
Inter
Bayern
Liverpool

But things could change. 2 months is a long time in football.

I concur, except that I think Leverkusen will beat Liverpool.
