I thought winning trophies has nothing to do with it. You know since Mourinho is a terrible coach and everything.
Come back when Mourinho has an equal record to Sir Alex, also Mourinho has had the luxury of joining teams which already had teams built.

Porto, Chelsea, Inter and Real Madrid.

None of the teams you mentioned were 'built' when Mourinho arrived. He taught them how to win.
Erm, like Inter who had won like the past 3 titles? Porto who were always either 1st or 2nd, Madrid who were also 1st or 2nd, Chelsea who finished 2nd last season only a few points behind and only didn't win because that was a freak season by Arsenal who never lost a single game?

It's not even remotely close to when Sir Alex arrived at United who hadn't won the title since the 70s.

Or him breaking the Old Firm dominate in Scotland before that.

Mourinho isn't close to the same level.

21 years ago when he was 48 Ferguson had way less important trophies than Mourinho has now. Some Scottish League titles and cups, UEFA Cup Winners Cup with Aberdeen and FA Cup with United. So Mourinho clearly holds a big potential to surpass him and pretty much every manager I could name, if it's about trophies.

There is a difference from having a team with plenty of super stars and winning every now and then, and a team with a winning mentality that wins on a consistent basis, Mourinho brought a winning mentality to teams like Chelsea, Inter, and Real, something they lacked when he coached each even though they had the names. Alex Ferguson is a great coach, but you can't argue that Mourniho isn't a great one too. Eventhough I can't stand him, but I respect his resume and what he has done in recent years. Mourinho is already special and on his way to be one of the greatest ever

Feruson has 2 CL trophies in 25 years at one of the biggest clubs in the world. Mourinho has the same 2 in 8 years of coaching CL playing teams.

League title ratio comparison? I won't even bother.
