Because the ref's let players away with so much more, so the feel able to challenge with much more aggression. There is also the idea that tackling is a key part of the English game, so even players who have no idea how to tackle will try to go in hard.
Paul Scholes is the master of this art form, he's an amazing passer and shooter of the ball - but he's one of the worst tacklers I have ever seen, everytime I see him go in for a tackle I think it's gonna be a yellow card minimum.

The West Ham players are soft touches, without the stomach for a fight.

That's why they are in the position they find themselves in.

N'Zogbia is a prick, so that may put some teams off.

I'd expect Celtic to be more excited at McCarthy being available than anyone else. Or maybe the Scottish born arsehole will want to go and play in Ireland since that is who he chose to represent.
True, N'Zogbia's attitude will put some teams off, but I think he'll join a good team next season.

Where'd Celtic fit McCarthy? They have shitload of central midfielders. Stupid lad, chose to represent Ireland and Trapattoni is playing the likes of Green and Andrews ahead of him.

The way she has treated Grant.
You mean the way West Ham have treated him, I guess you also hate Chelsea for the way Ranieri was treated too; and Blackburn with Sam Alladyce; Liverpool with Hodgson and so on.

Frankly Grant really isn't a good coach, I've always felt teams have won more in spite of him rather than because of him (especially with Chelsea), he was way out of his depth there.

No she publicly came out about Grant to the press. Nobody else at WH did. Chelsea were clowns with Wilkins and Ranieri yes. Liverpool not really because Hodgson did not do well with the players he had. Blackburn and Alladyce new owners new ideas. West Ham need to realise they don't have good enough players and are not a big enough name to attract good coaches anymore. Grant was a solid coach at Portsmouth and Chelsea.

With poor teams.

Had he took over from Mourinho sooner he would of won the league and if John Terry converted that penalty would of won a Champions League.

Give the guy a good squad and he does the business.

Both Portsmouth and West Ham have had good enough squads to survive.

Pompy was a mess when he took over... i think his time at west ham was poor yes.
With Chelsea he was brilliant. He took a team that was far from 1st place and that had just lost a coach of Mourinho's caliber. The fans hated him and chanted Mou's name the players didnt really like him.. he was always under fire and always told he'll be sacked and yet he took them to second place (losing the league in the final day) to possibly the strongest United you can get and lost the champions league final (Mou never took them there) because of JT's wet cunt. That was one hell of an achievement.

Why do fouls like this happen so much more in EPL compared to the other big leagues?
I've been waiting for something similar to happen to Messi, but it happens only to EPL players.
I remember someone stepped on Messi's ankle and bent it very similar to the way Bale's did. Messi was fine, but the guy got like a two-game ban or something

Fucking ridiculous.
