Supporting Liverpool and Juventus is like supporting Chelsea and Barcelona. If they meet each other in a match, the support for one team will be relinquished, thus destroying the foundations of supporting the club in the first place. Sorry, but that's not a supporter in my book.

So you can only support two clubs that have no chance of ever meeting?

Where do you people come up with these dumb rules?

well, I knew someone was going to bring up the whole liverpool/juve thing, but it doesn't bother me. my first reaction would be skepticism as well, but since I know the facts, i'm secure ;)

Think about it for a second. If two clubs you supposedly love meet each other in an important match, what do you say to the team you don't support in that match? "Oh sorry, but I wanted my other team to win today." :lol2:

Screw that crap. Seriously, what sort of fan does that?

This is essentially mercenary support.

If you have two kids (I'm using this analogy because a lot of fans like to talk about their club like it's an extension of themselves) and they are facing each other in a tennis tournament, which one do you support?

So now we're talking about life and death here. I say, it's your fault for having so many kids in the first place if you're worried about such scenarios.

Nothing but this is a wrong analogy. There is always one team you like the most. You can ask it from Maher. He cursed ManU for defeating Barca last year :D
I know it's the wrong analogy, but since football fans say ridiculous things like "juve for life" and "juve is my life" and lots of other silly things you and I have read, I thought I'd use it anyway
