Ive always seen it as the opposite, dont think his CAM and hasnt impressed as much as he has been a regista. But wouldnt mind to be proven wrong.

Pjanic is a great player but isnt the behind the forwards type.. As far as I have seen him play he is kind of an attacking midfielder that plays near the CM but gets more forward so dont know if regista is the word for him as well
anyway he plays between the trequatista role and the regista role more like an advanced playmaker correct me if you have words that suits him better..

Gomes is definitely not a treq. Even less of one than Pjanic.

And Kovacic isn't really a treq either.

Unless we're looking at someone not mentioned as a target so far, if we want to play 4-3-1-2 we're going to be converting a midfielder to play CAM, like we did with Vidal and Pereyra.

If we got Pjanic + Kovacic/Gomes, I could Allegri experimenting with Pogba playing as a CAM, allowing him to focus on attack, and maximizing his massive talents going forward. Especially if we get Gomes who a Pogba style player, only much more defensive-minded.

Oh man!!!! that would be monstrous. On paper at least

Kovacic and Gomes have about the same style, driving the ball, dribble and playing through balls. Not pure TQ but they can definitely fill that role.

Pogba as a CAM is setting us up for failure I'm afraid. He's so much better when he has space and I wouldn't name passing as one of his strongest suits either...

I disagree, to a point. Pogba is our most technical player and he obviously has a good pass and vision on him. Not to mention physique and dribble. he has it all.

But his problem is not the lack of pass or tehcnique, but the lack of discipline and decition making to play the role.

For example Pjanic. The guy IMO can obviously play there because he has a supportive mentality, he always is looking for a killer pass or an assist, and he has the technique for it. He can shoot if he wants, or dribble, but his priority is always to serve the team, then attack.

Pogba on the other hand, is still confused about when to showboat, when to dribble, where to go and when to shoot. He sometimes makes really silly decitions and gets himself in too much trouble because he is too busy trying to show the world what Pogba is capable of instead of making the simple pass.

Thats the real issue. Right now, i would prefer Pjanic as a Treq or sure, but if Pogba could do the mental switch,it would be worth a shot because he is our poster boy and he has an unreal arsenal of offensive prowess, not to mention the physicality to aid our forwards when pressing in required.

Marchisio is more suited to the regista role, not only because he has good discipline and composure, but because he lacks the offensive edge Pjanic and Pogba have. Also Marchisio IMO is better at spending his energies in covering terrain and defending. We must let players like Pjanic and Pogs to have freedomt o attack because they very talented going forward.

He can and most likely he will, he has a the tools for it, specially unreal passing ability for assists. Simply top notch ability.

I have the same impression of him in all this years. But i think that requires minor tactical swtiches for him to adapt.

If Allegri gave the all clear for Pjanic knowing that he isn't the TQ he has been asking for then that means we still have someone coming for the TQ and even if Kovacic comes he too won't be for TQ.

Yea for sure. All the zPjanic hard work down the drain if we selling Pogboom. But it could well be Morata making us a big 30m alongside Prreyea Asa and Heranes sales. Maybe Sturaro too.

Nope. If we sign Gomes that means we probably wont get Morata. We also wont pay that ridiculous sum for him so Kovacic is more realistic currently

Gomes wont be a TQ signing man.He will come to play in the 3 man midfield.
If he comes here,he'll most likely be the replacement to one of our starters,most likely Pogba.
Its like we assumed Dybala and Tevez would play together.
